Overall aim and context of the lesson

Students will be able to write numbers that comes before, after or between numbers.

SWC Lesson Reflection (Completed after EVERY lesson taught)

On the 27th of February 2018 I was teaching a math lesson about writing numbers that comes
before, after or between numbers. The students by the end of the lesson were able to write the
numbers that come before, after or between numbers. The lesson was for KG2C students and it
took place in the classroom.
At the beginning I revised counting the numbers with the students to make sure they know how
to count in order. After that I showed them a video about the concept I want to teach so they
would be more interested and integrated in the lesson because the students in my classroom
like to watch videos. After that I explained the concept for the students on the smartboard. I
gave different examples and then I made students guess the answers to see if they really were
able to solve and if they understood the concept or if they need more practice.
Moving to the activities, the students were so interested in the activities and they were working
together as peers and groups. Students had some difficulty and they needed guidance for doing
the activities but some students were able to finish the activities by themselves.
After finishing the activities we moved back to whole group and we had some more practices
on the concept but as I was assessing them it showed that the students need more work on the
concept because it was a little bit hard on them.
By next lesson I will give more practices and activities for the students to make sure they get
the concept clearly. I will try to make a game for the students to make it easier to understand
the concept.
