Areas of Strengths: very calm demeanor throughout. Started by reviewing yesterday’s lesson
on marine life and oil spill. Next, she shared a PowerPoint about habitats e.g., forest: showed
human impact on forest: deforestation, ocean: showed human impact on ocean: water
contamination, desert: showed human impact on desert: landfill, savannah: showed human
impact on savannah: burning-and-clearing.
She used ‘Ago’ when kids started taking too much.
She asked, “Who did this?” to make kids realize this is human impact on habitats.
Than she asked kids to take 1 minute to pick one animal and think of humans’ impact on that
animal’s habitat.
Than she called on three kids to share their ideas.
Areas of Improvement: Ibrahim said, “grey fox…lives in the woods”. Even though he didn’t
seem to do the assignment exactly correctly, Amina could have asked him, “What is the
human impact on the grey fox’s habitat: the forest”?
