Introduction
As assigned to complete my internship in the Marketing Department of two different
advertising agencies, I completed my Internship in Interflow Communications (Pvt.) Limited
and Manhattan Communications (Pvt.) Limited.

Working Time period

My internship at Manhattan Communications (Pvt.) Limited started off on the 20th of April
2018 and ended on 24th of April 2018.

My internee period at Interflow Communications (Pvt.) Limited started from 25th of April to
the 27th of April.

Working Experience
During my tenure there, I was taught the working knowledge of how a client is approached,
how the APNS works and how the PID in involved in all the procedure of advertising.
Manhattan Communications (Pvt.) Limited, in Islamabad, deals only in newspapers
advertisements and only works in government domains.

Interflow Communications (Pvt.) Limited on the other hand deals in both, the private and the
government sector. Since Interflow Communications (Pvt.) Limited is comparatively a larger
company, their clients and system is more organised. I learned, briefly, how a proposal is
written, how a client is approached with the written proposal and how to negotiate with a
potential client.

Conclusion
My internships gave me a taste of Professional Life while still being able to maintain my
learning curve. I am very thankful to my mentors at both the agencies to have flooded me
with all the information they knew had, in a very limited time.

At Manhattan Communications (Pvt.) Limited, I found a very cozy environment since the
setup is small because this agency only deals with government clients. The staff there were
happy to accept me as part of the team and took me under their wing to educate me and
prepare me for a better future.
In Interflow Communications (Pvt.) Limited, I was expected to be more productive since it
is, comparatively a larger firm, so there is a lot of competition around the office. I learned
how to dress up formally to meet up with a client which, I sheepishly have to admit was not
my cup of tea before this. The staff there was more professional and would always be focused
on working.

In the end, I would like to conclude with the fact that I need to thank Sir Wajid Zulqarnain to
force me into these internships against all odds. It is due to him that I finally had a glimpse
of the professional life and surroundings. I think I am prepared enough as a student to start
my career in advertising professionally now.
