OBJECTIVES
THE UNIT IS BALANCE SKILLS
Terminal Objective 1 (Psychomotor) The student will be able to stand on one foot (left and
right) for 30 seconds.
Terminal Objective 2 (Psychomotor) The student will be able to hop on one foot ten times
without planting the opposite foot.
Terminal Objective 3 (Psychomotor) The student will be able to walk across a twelve-foot
balance beam without falling off once.
Terminal Objective 4 (Psychomotor) The student will be able to balance a frisbee on their head
for 15 seconds without it falling off.
Terminal Objective 5 (Psychomotor) The student will be able to work with a partner to achieve
multiple balance positions (observed by teacher).
Terminal Objective 6 (Psychomotor) The student will be able to demonstrate different balance
positions (at least three) and hold the position for 10 seconds.
Terminal Objective 7 (Cognitive) The student will be able to recognize cues that will give them
the best results for balancing like keeping a central gravity point with their bodies and objects.
Terminal Objective 8 (Cognitive) The student will be able to count their hops in a game of hop
scotch
Terminal Objective 10 (Affective) The students will encourage each other to try their best and
give positive feedback to one another.
