Dear Parent/Guardian,

Hello! My name is Kelly Connerton, and I have the honor of filling in for Mrs. Foley
while she is on her maternity leave for the remainder of the year.

I have had the pleasure of working in Mrs. Foley’s classroom on a daily basis this year,
so I have had the opportunity to get to know each of Mrs. Foley’s students. I was also
lucky enough to be invited to go on the McAuliffe Field Trip. Mrs. Foley and I have
been working together over the last few weeks to ensure this transition is as seamless as
possible for the students. In addition, we are surrounded by the supportive staff of Dale
Street, including the amazing fifth grade team.

I have been working in elementary education for over ten years, first as a parent
volunteer, then as a substitute, and most recently in a support staff position. During this
time, I returned to school to earn my teaching license; I hold an elementary (grades 1
through 6) license with a Sheltered English Immersion endorsement. In addition, I am
pursuing a Master’s Degree in Special Education.

I feel fortunate to have found my life’s passion in teaching elementary students, and I am
blessed to have found such an amazing community at Dale Street and in Medfield. I am
thrilled to have the opportunity to share their last month of elementary school with Mrs.
Foley’s students. I am ready to pick up right where Mrs. Foley left off, continue the
learning and growth, and have some fun with all of the end-of-year activities planned.

I am sure you join me in wishing Mrs. Foley, her husband, and baby Foley a summer of
joy and new adventures. In addition, I know that, although she will be busy with a new
baby, she is only a phone call or email away, should I need her guidance or advice.

I will be available after school to meet you on either Friday, May 18 or Wednesday, May
