Valedictorian Address

My respect to the members of the Board of Directors,headed by the chairman Commodore Jose G.
Lansangan Jr.,the management and staff headed by the President,Mr. Paterno H. Dizon,the SHS
principal,guest speaker,parents,fellow graduates,ladies and gentlemen.Good morning.

No one is given the opportunity to live backwards;otherwise,we will all be ranked as one today.But ranks
don't define who we are.I'm ranked number 1 but I am humbly to tell you,that it doesn't make me better
than you.Being on top only tells me that all of my hard work was finally paid off,the whole year of
striving brought me to my goal.What is my goal?You may think to be the Valedictorian.It may surprise
you but my goal is very simple.I just want my family to be proud of me,especially to my mother who's
been working hard just to send me in school and also to my grandmother who's giving me allowance and
needs.That goal push me to where I am today,and it gives me a great honor to dedicate this speech to my
classmates,parents,teachers and most especially to our Lord.

Information technology in this 21st century enables the Department of Education to unite the Philippine
Archipelago through tele-conference and a modern means of communication via internet.Technology is
now being part of our everyday life.We,in this generation,technology is very helpful especially on
us.Thanks to this use of technology,we can easily do our task,making things easier.Just like helping us to
achieve our goals,helping us to decide on what we want and what is our professions in life.

It doesn't mean that "Graduation" is the end of our learning.Actually this is just the start ,for a new
journey,a new discovery and a new knowledge.As we move to college,I hope that in our own small
ways,we can be productive,in our home and in our communities,it's still a long way before we truly
declare ourselves as useful professionals,but if we want to change the future,we have to start investing
today.Fortunately,we are already equipped with the basics,all we have to do is to continue seeking for
ways on how we can get to where we want to be in the future.

I just wanna take a pose and thank everybody who made an impact in my life,for all who contributed in
making me who I am and I pray that in the future,I may have the opportunity to return the gesture and
make a positive impact in your lives as well.Thank you.Congratulations to all graduates,teachers and
parents and to our God be all the glory.
