BY-LAWS

Vision-Mission Statement

To attract and inspire the parishioners of the Holy Family Parish to worship
through refined, polished, and active participation through singing in the Holy
Eucharist and evangelize them through liturgical music so that the message of Christ
may be lived and shared with the community which is the Church for the greater
glory of God

1. INTERNAL CONTROL

All choir groups must exercise and promote discipline among its members
through self-governance congruent and consistent to all rules and regulations
agreed upon by the Ministry as a whole

2. ATTENDANCE AND PUNCTUALITY


2.1. Choir groups must be assembled 30 minutes before their appointed
time.
2.2. If a choir group is in conflict with its Sunday schedule, the coordinator
must provide for a substitute and inform the substitute at least three
(3) days prior to their scheduled Mass, or as earlier as possible.
2.3. Any change of schedule by any choir group must be forwarded to the
Ministry’s Overall Coordinator as soon as possible.
2.4. A choir group that fails to appear on its schedule will be marked as
absent on that day and will be subjected for sanctions.
2.5. Should any choir group decide to have a leave of absence, notify the
musical coordinator one (1) month prior to the scheduled leave of
absence.
2.6. Resetting of absences will be done quarterly. If a choir group is absent
twice in a quarter, they will be given automatic suspension for one (1)
month on the first offense, two (2) months on the second offense, and
three to four (3-4) months on the third offense.
2.7. A choir group will be given an involuntary leave based on the
observation of the Overall Coordinator of their attendance and of the
Musical Director of their musicality.

3. FINANCIAL SUSTAINABILITY
3.1. The Treasurer shall collect a monthly due of P50 from all choir groups
to be used for collective expenses of the Ministry.
3.2. Solicitation by any choir group done in the name of the Ministry must
have clearance and approval from the Overall Coordinator and other
concurrent officers of the Ministry.

4. SONG LINE-UP
4.1. The line-up of songs for the Sunday Mass will be changed every quarter
and must conform to the current Liturgical season.
4.2. Any choir group may choose songs of their preference without
deviating from the theme of the current Liturgical season.
Note: Specific (Opening song, Offertory, Communion, Recessional)
4.3. Choir groups are encouraged to introduce new songs to the community
whenever possible.

5. MEETINGS
5.1. The Coordinator and the Musical Director of a choir group should
attend the Ministry’s monthly meeting. Any choir group without a
representative during the meeting will automatically not be given a
schedule the following month.
5.2. The General Assembly of the Ministry will be done quarterly. This will
be attended by all available choir members.
6. OFFICERSHIP
6.1. The Overall Coordinator and Musical Director shall be appointed by the
Parish Priest.
6.2. The Overall Coordinator and Musical Director will choose the other
officers through appointment of election.
6.3. Term would be at least one (1) year or as prescribed by the Parish
Priest.

SUGGESTIONS:

1. Commentators are requested not to use microphones when singing with the
choir.
2. A separate electric fan/lighting/sound system is requested for the Music
Ministry.
