During the 3rd week of May, 2017, the Gymnasium School


„Miron Cristea” from TOPLIȚA, ROMANIA, hosted the second
Erasmus+ Project Meeting.

A number of 30 people, out of which 10 teachers & 20 students,

representative of all four project partner schools,

attended the meeting between 15th -19th May 2017.

The meeting agenda of the week was rich


in activities that helped us meet all the
objectives of the project.

Therefore, each activity organized during the meeting, helped the


participants develop a large number of competences, among which
the most important were:
the professional, linguistic, digital, organizational, communicative,
educational, personal, cultural competences.

SUNDAY

During their stay here, the foreign students were accommodated by


the Romanian students involved in the project, thus being directly
exposed to the background of the Romanian family values, which has
finally led to direct cultural and traditional interchanges.
For the teachers, who were accommodated at the cozy, quiet,
traditional and modern altogether, `Pensiunea Banffy`, the first day
meant multi-faceted group cohesiveness activities, with an overall
focus on social and task related relations.

The entire school has worked
hard and enthusiastically to
offer the Erasmus+ guests a
warm and heartfelt
welcoming ceremony.

During the day, several workshop activities


took place. They raised awareness about
unsustainable consumption threats,
employment and economy and promoted a
healthy living lifestyle and sustainable
consumption behavior.

We are promoting a healthy living lifestyle and a sustainable consumption


behaviour while raising awareness about unsustainable consumption
threats, employment and economy. We have found creative and innovative
solutions to solve problems in terms of wrong consuming habits.

We were `dancing` the days of the week here: luni, marți, miercuri,
joi, vineri, sâmbătă, duminică.
We have also learnt about the
Romanian diacritics: `ă, î, â, ț, ș`,
about the greatest Romanian poet,
MIHAI EMINESCU, read and sang the poetry
`Pe lângă plopii fără soț` and read and translated
sentences. We had lots of fun and learned new things!

TUESDAY
During the `Employment and Economy Workshop` we have learnt
about how important it is that all people who are mentally and
physically healthy to work. This way only, they can contribute to the
welfare of the country and the rising of the economy.

After we had learnt theoretical facts about the Employment and


Economy topic, we visited Danico – the local sports clothing factory,
where we learnt about the process of production of a winter jacket.

After learning so many new


facts, we were able to
choose the Principles
related to the subtopics:
Healthy Lifestyle & Food &
Sport, also Economy and
Employment.

We had fun and got very creative


during the `Tailor Workshop
Competition`: manufacturing
costumes using recycling
materials.

- Working in team, in new environments leads to better integration on the


global labour market. We proved ability to work in team and manage
efficiently relations with other members of the team, ability of cooperating in
multicultural environments.
- We gained improvement of the sense of flexibility, adaptability, critical
thinking and problem solving along with development of entrepreneurial 11
spirit.
