Strategic Thinking Competency Assessment

Cronbach’s α Report: May 25, 2018

Using SPSS version 25, data collected from 79 respondents to the OHR Strategic Thinking
Competency Assessment was analyzed for reliability to determine the Cronbach’s α. There are
a total of 4 scales with each scale consisting of 10 questions. The scales represented
OPERATIONS, PLANNING, DISCOVERY and CREATION. The Cronbach’s α ranged from 0.820 to
0.919, all above the recommended and acceptable value of 0.70; higher values 0.80 – 0.90 are
considered as even better. This indicates that the set of scales used to measure the concepts in
the assessment is reliable and has good internal consistency.
