1. Project Description:
This charter is made between M/S MIDJAC. (Main Construction Contractor) & M/S MIA
Corporation PVT. LTD. (Sub-Contractor for HVAC works) for the Supply and Installation of
complete HVAC system along with the building management system for Olympus Mall,
Islamabad. Project duration will be for 1year from Nov-16 to Nov-18. Project will be having a
state of the art design having a covered are of 1856 sq ft consisting of 5 floors i.e. Basement-2
(Parking), Basement-1 ( Shops), Ground (Shops), First (Play Ground Area ), Second Floor (Food
court). MIA Corporation Pvt. Ltd. Sole distributor of DAIKIN in Pakistan will provide the
HVAC services. Total cooling load of the project is 550TR. The sponsor has allocated the 150
million PKR for the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of work as per BOQ and
specification book.
The project will be completed in phases. Project site engineer from the consultant end will check
the supply, installation of HVAC system and accessories with approved make documents. After
the completion of the supply and installation works, testing & commissioning of the project will
take place in accordance with the specification book provided by the consultant showing all the
wet bulb and dry bulb temperature ranges in all respective areas in accordance to the ASHRE
standards. After the fruitful finish of the all project works, main contractor and client
representatives will check the work completely and get endorsement from the HVAC consultant.
If not endorsed by the consultant then contractor has to rectify all the mistakes and get approval
from the consultant. After that 3 months operation of the project will be continuously monitored
by consultant for further mistakes. If occurs in the operation of HVAC system that will be
rectified by MIA and if not then after 3 months project will be successfully handed over to the
client.
3. Scope
3.1 In Scope
The scope of works include complete HVAC system supply, installation, testing and
commissioning by MCPL (MIA CORPURATION PRIVATE LIMITED) for OLYMPUS MALL
building. The scope of the project is based upon the HVAC works for Water Cooled Chillers,
Water Cooled Cooling Towers, Air Handling Units, Fan Coil units, Fresh Air units, Exhaust Air
units and their respective accessories as mentioned in Bill of Quantities BOQ provided by the
HVAC consultant. The equipment and the material will be sourced internationally and locally, as
per specifications and approved manufactured list provided by HVAC consultant. The subject
works are to be completed in 1 year. After the completion of work, MCPL will operate complete
HVAC system for the period of 3months before handling to client.
Zain Awan Manager Sales- will be responsible for the delivery of equipment
on the agreed dates on site area.
Istiaq Ahmed Project Manager- Responsible for the kicking off, making
schedule, assigning and arranging team for the execution of the
project with countering major risk involve till the ending of the
project (handover)
Hassan Ali Coordination Engineer- Responsible for the effective discussion
and communication between client and contractor. Coordinating
between different departments regarding sales, design, billing and
other matters.
Muhammad Suleman Project Engineer-Responsible for the execution of the project by
supervising the technical team, preparing check request of work
done and get it approved by client.
Skilled Labor Technician- Involve in execution of the project.

6. Risks
Risk Risk Management Approach
Hardware Risk: The HVAC system may damage during the shipment from origin to
Damage of HVAC Pakistan till delivery at site. Moreover, it may damage during
system. loading/unloading and during installation of the system which may
be reduced by proper packing of the system and following the
proper standards for the installation.
