The WTHAVTV'S role as a
Pedestrian Scale
Luminaire
A true pedestrian scale uminaire
like the WTH/y'VTV has tremen-
dous application flexibility, and
can satisfy many diverse require
ments. For examp e, some cities
have height restr ct on codes for
pole-mounted luminaires. The
WTHI/VTV series is idea for this
situation because it is specificaly
des gned for broad llumination at
ow mounting heights. Perhaps
the application is a park or small
street where mature trees would
block the light ll taller poles were
used. Again, the WTHA/VTV will
provide the ideal so ution.
Sometimes the smaler sca e of
a one or h^ro story structure dlc-
tates the use of a pedestrian
scale luminaire so the light ng
equipment will not overpower the
architecture. ln all inslances. the
WTH^ATV provides the solution.

Scale and Design

The WTH/VVTV product ine is
part of a design coordinated
fam ly of lum naires. By main-
taining a cohes ve look to this
broad range of ighting instru-
ments, the specifier can main-
tain a consistent look from the
parklng ot to the bu lding.
The uminaires at right have
several common elements
that visua ly llnk them togeth-
er. First, their overall form is
based on a simp e cyl nder
which creales a soft and
unobtrusive shape. Second, WTH
al of the uminaires have Wide
strong vertical and horizontal
iines which provlde a visual
Iink to the architecture. Third.
the scaie of each product
changes in reLation to its
height and distance from the
bui ding. Thls rnaintains a
proper balance and logic to
the outdoor lghting scheme,
and prevents the arch tecture
from being overpowered by
distracting hardware. ln addi-
t on to these visual features,
a I of these lum naires have
h gh performance. low bright
ness opt ca systems coupled
with egendary Kim quality
and value.
