Top end fitting of coolant channel is modeled in ansys for carrying out stress analysis
(Figure 1, 2 and 3). Twenty nodded brick element is used in this model. Only half part of
the end fitting is modeled so as take advantage of symmetry. FEM model has 60732
nodes and 14292 elements. Stress analysis is performed for all above load cases and
stress intensity is evaluated at critical locations.
3. Results
