Assessment Task 2

Strategies that I would implement when managing a team s

There are three main strategies that can make the leader of the group to manage other group

leaders. These strategies include; giving a very clear reasons why some things happen and this

will enable the group members to know why the project that they are undertaking is very

important. These will also help the employees to know their responsibilities and this will mainly

help to bring the success of the company. The second main strategy is to evoke curiosity. This

will mainly help to get the views of the different employees and this will make the team to meet

its requirements (Mumby et al., 2017).

Type of support you can provide to the members

First of all, the team leader should find his own time so that he can connect with the group

members and this will enable the leader of the group to create the good relationship with the

team members and this will eventually make them to be very productive. This will also enable

the team leader to know the talents and the strengths of each employee. Secondly the team leader

should mainly focus on the strengths of the different employees. This will mainly help to boost

the engagements. This will help the team members to be more focused about their tasks

((Mumby et al., 2017).

Three communication methods used to communicate with the team members.

Assessment Task 3

The team leader can organize meetings so that the people and this will make it easier for one to

communicate with the rest of the team leaders. This is the best approach of communicating with

the rest of the team. The team leader can also use on one communication and this will mainly

help the team leader to understand the other members better. The team leader can also use

emails so that he/she can communicate with the rest of the team members. This method is the

easiest method since the members are not interrupted from their daily activities.

Being a good role model as a manager

Being a good role model as a manger entails putting hard work in all the tasks that the manager

is able to do. This will also motivate the rest of the employees to be motivated about the goals of

the company. Also, the manger should also be trustworthy and this will make the rest of the

employees to depend on the manager. This will mainly enable the employees to know that you

are always on their back and it will help to promote hard work. The manager should always be

accountable. For instance, if the manager makes a certain mistake then he/she should admit it

and this will encourage the employees to put more hard work on their work. The manager should

always be persistent and this will make the company to attain its goals ((Mumby et al., 2017).

Strategies used to ensure that the team leaders are actively involved,

As a leader I will ensure that I promote the team work across all the departments and this will

enable me to get different views of the different people. This will also lead to the improvement
Assessment Task 4

of the communication between the people. I will also allow the employees to make the decisions.

for instance, they may decide which products should be sold to the customers.

Stages of group development

The first stage is the norming and in this stage is usually characterizes by anxiety. The second

stage is the storming stage and, in this stage, conflicts usually occur. The third stage is the

norming stage and in this stage the team members start to solve their differences. The last stage

is the adjourning stage and, in this stage, people usually come into the conclusion.

Difficult behavior in a group.

Disagreements is one of the difficult behaviors which and this will bring more problems in the

group. The second behavior is the non- participation by some of the group members and this has

led to most of the groups to lag behind in achieving the goals of the organization. The third

difficult behavior experienced in the group is monopolization. For instance, if one member

dominates the whole group on the expense of the other group members.

Organizational policies

The role of the manager in the organization is to assign different responsibilities to the different

employees and this will help the organization to meet its goals. The employees on the other hand

should always be ready to handle the work that is allocated to them. This will greatly help the
Assessment Task 5

organization to meet its goals. The manager also receives the information about all the internal

and the external events that occur in an organization (Imran et al., 2017).

Attachment 2

Consulting the team effectively

I wound consult the team and ask them to find the speakers who will be attending the conference.

The venue of the meeting should also be prepared since majority of the people will be attending.

All the deposits about the payments should also be made and this will help the conference to be a

success (Amarantou et al., 2018).

Action plan

The venue of the organization should also be prepared and all the payments should be completed.

The main aim of these conference was to promote business between many organizations in

Australia. The key stakeholders in this conference was the Toyota company. The main topics that

this company was to look into was to develop the different market strategies that will help to

boost markets in these companies (Amarantou et al., 2018).

Role of a leader in distributing the work.

I would have allocated the work of planning for the venue of the meeting depending on the

availability of the person and also the skills that he/ she has. Also, the team members with the

interest of doing a task for example looking for the motivational speakers. This will greatly help

to bring the conference to a success.

Factors to consider before allocating a task.

Assessment Task 6

There are a number of factors to consider before allocating a certain task to the group members

and this include skills, priority, availability of the person, development and interest. This will

help to Ensure the goals of conducting that particular conference are met and it will also help to

reduce the cost of conducting a conference. Before terminating the team member, the following

factors should be considered also. So that the team member who is not productive can be ejected

(Malgas et al., 2017).

Case study 2

In this particular case study peter should be encouraged to consult the other members of the

group ands for instance when peter presented the minutes and yet they had not consulted with the

rest of the group members. Team work should be embraced so that the organization can run very

swiftly without any of the problem. Peter should also engage in group work so that he can gain

experience.

Case study 3

The HR manager should terminate the employment of Sarah this is because this might lead to the

fall of the company. This is seen because many of the customers have really complained about

this. The fair work Australia define the unfair dismissal of the employee is dismissed in a very

rude way and with no appropriate reason. The HR manager would advise David to terminate the

employment of Sarah since she has been underperforming the tasks which she has been

allocated. If Sarah doesn’t improve his work contract has to be terminated immediately (Malgas

et al., 2017).

Qualities of good employee

Assessment Task 7

Execellent perfomance by the employee can be seen by the intergity and the positive attitude that

the employee has, this will mainly help to promote the goals of the organisation. For instance if

the employee has the work ethic then he/she will be reporting to work in good time.

Methods of rewarding employees

One of the best methods of rewarding the employees is by proving the flexible hours and this

willl allow the employees to work when they feel like and this will help to improve the

productivity of the employees. Another method is by sending a thank you note to the employees.

Also the organsation can organise a tour(Malgas et al., 2017).

Steps used to coach employees

There are three main steps that I will use to coach the underperfoming employees. These are; I

wold identify the bahaviour that is causing the employees to underperfom, comfort the poor

perfomance and the last step is to encourage the employees to change the bad behaviour. This

will mainly improve the goals of the organisation.

Handling bad behaviours

I would motivate the staff member and this will help him/her to perfom better. This will help the

staff member to feel much appreciated and therefore the company will gain more profits.

Importance of the management process

Assessment Task 8

The management proces mainly heps to encourage initiative and this will greatly help the

company to make more profits. This process also encourages the growyh and the innovation of

the comapany.

how do staff obatain infoemation

the members of the staff obatain the information by e mail messages and this is the main source

of communication in the organisation. Also the staff members obtain the information from the

meetings that arebeing held at the organisation (Malgas et al., 2017).

How to allocate work

When allocationg the work I will allocate the work to the employees depending on the skills

that the employee has. This will mainly help to reduce the cots and the expenses brough about by

the mistakes. This is also an efficient way of handling the work related problems.

Perfomance mangement policy

Perfomace management helps to build on the annual evaluations of the company and this will

mainly help to improve the plan framework. It is mainly used to address the misconduct in the

organisation. The HR manager is the one who responsible is signing the pmp reports. The PMPs

are the ones who are always handling the projects in almost all the organisation(Imran et al.,

2017).

Importance of the legislation.

A legislatoive framework is needed because it helps to provide the activities of the different

department that is happening within the organisation. Lack of the legislation will affect the
Assessment Task 9

delivery of the products by the organisation. This will help to bring more profits to the

organisation.

Informal feedback to staff

Informal feedback is very mlotivating and this will help the members of the staff to be more

focused in the organisation. This will help to promote the satisfaction of the employee. This will

also help to prevent any risk that might occur in the organisation if the infoemation is passed to

the risk manger (Imran et al., 2017).

and the roles that they will play in ensuring that the whole organization is smoothly running.

Operational plan will entail how most activities will be carried out daily including sales,

marketing among other business operations.

Indicators that you need to

Hire staff

stakeholders are doing things alone. In a situation where the business focuses more on survival

rather than growth, hiring is significant. Hiring can also be prompted when the quality of work is

decreasing or even suffering.

Terminate staff

When the productivity of an employee has decreased then it is often worth noting and ensuring

that he/she is done away with or else the productivity of the organization will reduce. Staff can

be terminated once he/she is unpredictable or argumentative. Those who can’t handle change or

even improve should be terminated.
