7. The following distribution formula is followed by the District Zakat & Ushr
Committee.
7(a) At least 25% scholarship at all levels are earmarked for Mustahiq girl students.
The rate of stipend shall be based on the status of a Madarsa, categorized as below:-
Depending upon the categories the rate of preferential and ordinary stipends are as
under:-

7. A Deeni Madarsa approved for annual Zakat grant are eligible for additional
financial assistance to meet the expenditure on food, accommodation and clothing’s of the
resident Mustahiq students. This grant is called as Miscellaneous Expenditure Grant (Food,
Accommodation and clothing’s) and is calculated as under:-
The following ceilings shall apply for the free medical treatment of Mustahiq
patients.
i. One time grant upto Rs. 5000/- may be provided for rehabilitation of a Mustahiq
whose name be struck off from the list of Mustahqeen
ii. Social welfare Institutions housing the beneficiaries shall be of the following
categories only:-
1. Orphanages
2. Darul Aman
3. Home for Destitute and under privileged women.
4. Home for mothers and children.
5. Home for old and infirm persons.
6. Home for Destitute and needy girls.
7. Home for abandoned Babies and Destitute Children.
8. Special education Centres for Disabled Persons /Mentally retarded persons.
9. Rehabilitation Centres for Disabled persons.
iii) Istehqaq of the beneficiary child or person shall be determined by the Local Zakat
Committee of the area of his permanent residence or the Local Zakat Committee of his
temporary residence.
7. Eid Grant
At the Occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr Rs. 500 are paid to deserving people as one time Additional
Grant of Guzara Allowance
This programme is aimed at creation of Income generating opportunities for the poor
Mustahiq students by providing employable Vocational or Technical training to them. The
maximum monthly amount of Rs. 2500/- per student per month is payable as scholarship, to
enable the deserving Mustahiq students to bear the cost of Vocational and Technical
Education. In addition to that one time grant of Rs. 5000/- is also paid to each Mustahiq
student for the purchase of required tools / equipment that would help him in self
employment on the basis of training received and the skill acquired.
