Dear Coaches,

It’s summer season again! And the end of this season marks another time
to gather all budding swimmers to the annual Speedo Jumpstart Novice
Swim Carnival on June 16, 2018 at Philippine Columbian
Association in Plaza Dilao – Paco,

This is one of the largest summer-ender activity for the swimming

community. We invite new swim talents from all swim teams who are
competing for the first time.
The event format is family-oriented and fun with non-intimidating distance
events - just 25 meters for all to enjoy!

To make this event fun and safe for everyone, there shall only be
limited number of slots. We encourage you to register now to secure
your entries.

Entry fees must be settled days before the competition. Only those
who settled entry fees will be allowed to proceed with their
events.

CLASSIFICATION NOVICE
A Novice Swimmer is a swimmer who has not competed in
any inter-club, inter-school, inter-region swimming and
triathlon competition or any competition/races composed of
two or more teams before June 16, 2018 may participate in
this meet. Swimmers who participated in a Novice meet from
April 1, 2018 to June 16, 2018 may still participate.

ELIGIBILITY Open to all teams and individuals who qualified in the

classification.

GOVERNING RULES: FINA and Speedo Jumpstart rules shall govern the meet.
Meet director shall assign five (5) coaches to be members of
the Technical Committee for the meet. All protests shall be
in the form of writing signed by the team coach and to be
submitted to the Technical Jury with PHP2,000.00 not later
than 30 minutes from the posting of the event results in
protest. The Tournament Officials shall entertain only Team
Coaches.

Over-all Point Team Championship Trophies (1st to 4th place)
Medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
Ribbons for 4th to 8th place
Finisher Medal for all participating swimmers
Event Finishers Stickers for all event finishers
Trophies for Most Outstanding Swimmer per age-band based on medal
(points shall be used to break a tie)

Note: Special gift prize for outstanding swimmers using SPEEDO swimwear

Certificate of Participation for all swimmers

Special Prize for the Oldest Male and Female Competitor
Special Prize for the Youngest Male and Female Competitor
Special Prize for the coach with the most number of swimmers per session
Special Prize for the coaches of the Top 4 Teams
Special Prize for the team with the most number of 26 years old and above
swimmers.

POINT SYSTEM
Only the top 16 swimmers for each individual event shall be awarded with points
and shall be distributed according to the following:

Individual Events:
Places 1-8: 18, 16, 15 14, 13, 12, 11, 10 points
Places 9-16: 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 points

Relay Events:
Places 1-8: 36, 32, 30, 28, 26, 24, 22, 20 points

I. Deadline of submission of Initial Registration Form – Wednesday, May 16, 2018

II. Closing date for entries – Wednesday, May 30, 2018.

III. Appropriate fees must be paid on or before June 8, 2018 5:00 pm.

IV. There is no limit in the number of entries a swimmer may swim.

V. No refunds shall be made for scratches after the closing date.

Bringing of Food and Drinks inside the club will be strictly prohibited.
Smoking in the competition and swimmers area is not allowed

In our desire to make this swim competition fun and enriching for all the
participants and attendees, we request that everyone to be mindful of their
personal belongings especially with all the excitement. There is no substitute
for our individual awareness and mindfulness of our immediate surroundings.
The venue and the organizers shall not be responsible for theft/loss of or
damage to personal belongings during the event. We ask that everyone
contribute in making the competition a safe and friendly environment.
