ABSTRACT

By taking samples from 2014 to 2016 on 10 sharia companies listed in the

Jakarta Islamis Index, this research aims to analyze the effect of Earning Per Share
(EPS) on the company's stock price in Jakarta Islamic Index (JII). The value of the
influence of the free variable is Earning Per Share (EPS) with the dependent variable
(stock price) is estimated with a simple regression analysis model. The result of study
shows that EPS have influence to share price equal to 64,4% rest amount 35,6%.
Influenced by variables other than model. This explains that the higher the value of
EPS means the better because it will increase the stock price and this will benefit the
company. Companies with higher EPS values will attract investors because EPS
indicates that although stock prices are rising but will result in multiple profits for
investors, so the higher EPS of a company means higher stock prices.

 ABSTRAK
Dengan mengambil sampel tahun 2014 sampai dengan tahun 2016 pada 10
perusahaan syariah yang terdaftar di Jakarta Islamis Index, studi ini dilakukan untuk
menganalisis pengaruh Earning Per Share (EPS) terhadap harga saham perusahaan di
jakarta Islamic Indeks (JII). Nilai pengaruh dari variable bebas yaitu Earning Per
Share (EPS) dengan variable terikat (harga saham) diestimasi dengan model analisis
regresi sederhana. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa EPS memiliki pengaruh terhadap
harga saham sebesar 64,4% sisanya sejumlah 35,6%. Dipengaruhi oleh variable
selain model. Ini menjelaskan bahwa semakin tinggi nilai EPS berarti semakin baik
karena akan meningkatkan harga saham dan ini akan menguntungkan perusahaan.
Perusahaan dengan nilai EPS yang semakin tinggi akan menarik investor karena EPS
menandakan bahwa walaupun harga saham ikut meningkat namun akan menghasilkan
keuntungan yang berlipat pula bagi investor, sehingga semakin tinggi EPS suatu
perusahaan berarti semakin tinggi pula harga sahamnya.
