Thai prime minister plans
to lead the Black Panthers to fight
against the North Vietnam in Viet-
nam War with the support of the US

In July, Thai Foreign Minister,
Thanat Khoman, states that Thailand
should take parts in Vietnam War as
the supporter to help South Vietnam.
From his explanation, he said that
if we don’t help these people win
this war then the communism from
North Vietnam will come to Thailand
borders very soon. Accordingly,
today, Thailand has gained the
military about 40,000 people known
as the Black Panthers to counter the
guerrilla forces in Vietnam War. In
a meantime, Thailand has the strong
relationship with the United States
because both of them have the same
viewpoint about the communism.
As a result, Thai troops got
preparing from the Unified States
Armed force in the preparation camps
set up close to the borders; the U.S.
also deploys one of the commandos

After World War II, both the
United States and the Soviet Union
realized the importance of rocket
research. The Soviet challenged the
US and established a commission
whose goal was to beat the US in
putting a satellite into space. After
that, Soviet won again and again
which make US embarrassed a lot.
Therefore, Nasa came up with the
invention of Apollo 8 spacecraft in
order to compete with the USSR.
This Apollo 8 launch is a door
of new beginning for humanity to
enter the new world. It is the first
spacecraft, accompanied with human,
to leave the Earth and reach the moon
and then return safely to earth. It is
also the first launch of the Saturn V
rocket.
The Apollo 8 is a mission in the
Apollo program which is the project
by NASA that aim to send a human
to explore the moon and bring them
home safely. Its operation took 7
days and included 10 orbits around
the moon. This spacecraft consist
of three-astronaut crews which are
Frank Borman (Commander), James
Lovell (Command Module Pilot),
and William Anders (Lunar Module
WAIKIKI
to train Thai forces in anti-
insurgency operations. In addition,
adding to the ground troops, the
Black Panthers are also trained and
deployed to attack guerrilla hideouts
in Laos and neighboring strongholds.
They have defeated many terrorists
in each border of Laos and South
Vietnam so far, but the mission has
not completed yet. They needed more
power to fight with North Vietnam so
our prime minister decided to provide
air and ground bases to the United
States to enable them to bring the
troops inside planning for the next
attack. Although the Black Panthers
have achieved many victories in
the war, they still find it so hard to
come up with the plan to attack North
Vietnam since they found out that the
landscape of Vietnam is very hard to
fight and they can’t determine who the
real enemy in the area is. According
to this action, it may lead our prime
minister planning to go to South
Vietnam by himself. Also, he wants
to encourage the troops to fight with
all of the power and win the war as
soon as possible. Furthermore,it also

of their children to participate in the
war.

NASA accomplished the
goal as to explore the moon. This
accomplishment makes the U.S.
stay ahead of the USSR in space
exploration. It killing off the Soviet
hopes of landing on the moon first.
Moreover, this success makes the U.S.
gain one huge step forward ahead other
countries and there will be lots of new

technology in the future which
benefit others. In my opinion,
this advancement causes the big
phenomenon. To clarify, Americans
can use this invention as the
fundamental and develop many new
advancements and ideas from this
event. Furthermore, it also affects
Thais’ perspective in many ways
such as education, economic and
culture. They believe that they can
accomplish the goal like Apollo 8’s
mission in the future.
