1 Testing
1.1 Testing Equipment
1. Connect the multipoint connector cable of local junction box to DR 800 measuring
probe.
2. Connect power cable to local junction box. Turn on power and check the input
power supply voltage at local junction box, 100 to 240 V AC tolerance of the + 5%
voltage.
3. Check the input power supply of measuring probe, +24 V DC, tolerance of voltage
± 5% voltage.
4. Check the input power supply of purge air unit, +24 V DC, tolerance of voltage
± 5% voltage.

2.2 Self-initialization:
Once after Power ON, the D−R 800 will perform self-initialization for approx. 15 s and is
then in measuring mode. During this process, "I24 Initial" appears on the display and
flashes. The dust concentration is measured and output to the current outputs according to
the parameterization.
2.3.1.1 Dirtiness measurement: Displays the percentage dirtiness of the optics part of
device. If lens contamination exceeds 30% , then E13 maintenance warning
generated and if the lens contamination exceeds 60%, then E14
contamination error generates.
2.3.1.2 Zero point measurement: The zero point measurement for determining any
necessary offset signals is performed by taking a measurement with the laser
switched off.
2.3.1.3 Reference point measurement (span test): The reference point is located at
approximately 70% of the measuring range.
