• La mayoría (90%) infecciones por CMV asintomáticos.
• 11 – 12 %:pérdida auditiva neurosensorial tardia
• 6.5% retraso psicomotor tardio
• Sintomas y signos (10 - 15%):
• Microcefalia
• Trombocitopenia, anemia, ictericia
• Hepatoesplenomegalia
• Retraso del crecimiento intrauterino
• Mortalidad: 30%
• Secuelas neurológicas (50 - 60%): retraso mental (45-90%), y / o pérdida de audición
neurosensorial (30-65%), dificit visual (15-30%)

• Seroconversión en la gestación
• IgG e IgM positivas
• IgM >> 12 meses
• IgG :
• Avidez elevada (>=0.8) : infeccion > 3 meses
• Avidez baja (<0.2) infeccion < 3 meses
• Avidez intermedia (0.2-0.8): tiempo indeterminado
DIAGNÓSTICO SEROLOGICO
• Indetectable:
• Control ecografico 28 y 36 s
• Determinacion en orina del RN
• Positivo:
• Deteccion de marcadores de afeccion fetal para determinar pronostico
perinatal.
