10. Test Report
1. Scope: This procedure covers the testing and commissioning of capacitor bank
panels. The capacitor bank panels are installed at the LVMCC room. This
procedure will also ensure proper workmanship and conforms to contract
documents, and standards.
2. Access/Egress: The Commissioning of the System will commence only when
Main Contractor clearance is given for access to conduct the Testing and
Commissioning.
3. Health & Safety hazard: Health and Safety procedures by SNC and STOM
will be implemented for this job. A routine safety check will be done by the Safety
Officer In-charge as per STOM Safety Procedure.
4. Role & Responsibility:
I. Will have the overall responsibility of the project execution, quality and
safety, maintain the planning and progress and coordination with Main
Contractor.
II. Will be responsible for day to day activities in the Site for System Testing
and Commissioning, report preparation and demonstration of System
Commissioning.

5. Training: Training will conduct after completion of commissioning.


6. Working Hour: Site normal working hours.
7. Manpower Requirement & Supervision:
a) Project Engineer (SNC)
b) Electrical Engineer (SNC)
c) Safety Officer (SNC)
d) QA/QC Officer (SNC)

8. Test Instrument Requirement


e) Megger

9. Method of Commissioning : Capacitor Bank Panel


The following items, where relevant, are to be tested preferably in the sequence
indicated below:
a) Visual Inspection
b) All connection and joints check
c) Continuity of protective conductors, including main and supplementary
equipotential bonding
d) Continuity of ring final circuit conductors
e) Insulation resistance
f) Polarity
g) Functions of all protective devices
h) Circuitry Check
i) Overvoltages
j) Undervoltages
k) Fluctuating loads
l) Capacitance and wiring check of each step
m) Unbalanced loads
n) Starting currents
o) Phase-to-phase voltage test
p) Phase-to-neutral voltage test
q) Phase-to-earth voltage test
r) Neutral-to-earth voltage test
s) Phase sequence test on each and every outgoing circuit
t) Full load current check of each step including harmonic
u) Thermal reading of each step/ cubical
v) Reduce 600 kVAR to 450 kVAR

10.Test Report: We will follow below mentioned our commissioning test report.
