CANDIDEMIA

DEFINISI

Infeksi candida bisa terjadi pada hampir seluruh bagian tubuh manusia dan pada umumnya
berkembang pada mukosa tapi infeksi ini juga bisa berada pada aliran darah manusia, saat
candida berada pada aliran darah maka kondisi ini disebut Candidemia.1

ETIOLOGI

Candidemia disebabkan oleh bakteri yang disebut candida yang memiliki lebih dari 17
spesies namun 90% dari penyebab penyakit ini adalah Candida albicans, Candida glabrata,
Candida parapsilosis, candida trapicalis dan candida krusei.2

ETIOPATOGENIS

Candidemia paling sering terjadi di rumah sakit pada saat seminggu setelah dirawat di ICU
dan bisa juga disebabkan oleh terpasangnya cantral venous catheter (CPC), dialisis ginjal,
operaasi besar, sistem imunitas yang lemah, antibiotik spektrum luas, steroid intravena1

GAMBARAN KLINIS

Gambaran klinis dari infeksi candida bergantung pada tempat inffeksi tersebut namu pada
candidemia gambaran klinis yang mungkin dijumpai berupa:1

 Demam dan menggigil


 Ruam pada kulit
 Kelelahan secara umum
 Tekanan darah rendah
 Nyeri otot
 Perubahan pada mata atau adanya infeksi pada mata
 Sakit kepala dan defisit neurologis
 Sakit perit
