WHAT’S NEW

UPDATED BRANDING AND USER EXPERIENCE

PRODUCT NAME UPDATE
• Thomson Reuters Messenger (formerly Reuters Messaging) is the updated name of our real-time instant
messaging and collaboration tool. This brand update aligns Messenger with current Thomson Reuters corporate
standards. The user interface has also been updated to reflect the new branding. There are no changes to product
functionality as part of this release.
• The name of the complementary compliance monitoring service from Thomson Reuters, formerly known as
Reuters Messaging Compliance Manager (RMCM), has also been updated to reflect current corporate brand
standards. The updated name for the Messenger compliance offering is Thomson Reuters Messenger
Compliance. There are no updates to product functionality at this time.

IMPROVED MESSAGING AND CHAT

Several enhancements have been made to the instant messaging and chat components, including the following:
• Better Asian font support: Messenger running Windows 2000 will now display Japanese and other Asian fonts
correctly.
• Encoded links in chat rooms: URL links containing encoded characters (such as %20) are now displayed
correctly and link to the correct site.
• Increased crash protection: Better protection against Windows Registry corruptions. The reuters.com panel in
the contact list is now supported on all browsers.

INTEGRATION WITH THOMSON REUTERS TRADING FOR EXCHANGES

Important Note: This capability is only being offered to select exchange traded communities; please contact your
Thomson Reuters account manager for more information.

You can now trade with your broker using Thomson Reuters Trading for Exchanges within Thomson Reuters
Messenger. Place orders over the network using a command line interface with integrated ticket and run a lightweight
version of Thomson Reuters Trading for Exchanges alongside Messenger to monitor your blotter and pending orders.
