SAP Solution Owner – Transportation, Distribution & Warehouse Management

Do you have a business background in Logistics, combined with technical understanding of SAP and other
systems related to Logistics? Have you worked with incident management and problem resolution? Can you
pinpoint business needs, link that to application solutions and ensure that the technical organization
delivers what is agreed-upon? Do you want to work truly globally and be a solution owner, taking leadership
and ownership?

Then, you have a unique opportunity to be Solution Owner (SO) in the Transportation, Distribution &
Warehouse Management area. The area covers a variety of applications within logistic planning and
warehouse management such as LEO, EMD, TMS, ASTRO, SAP LE and SAP WM.

You will be accountable for the overall solution in close collaboration with onsite partners and offshore
teams. The teams are responsible for technical maintenance and development via incident management
and changes. Your role will be to oversee the solution, providing a strategic outlook and look for
opportunities to further optimize, standardize and automate the solution portfolio.

The Job

Within Logistics and Warehouse Management, you will act as a primary interface to the business, i.e. key
stakeholders such as Local and Global Supply Chain Management, IT Directors, Business Process Managers
and Process Experts. You will be their trusted advisor and partner, ensuring that important issues and
developments are dealt with. Some of your key responsibilities are:
 Ownership of the critical business solutions in Logistics and Warehouse Management.
 Prioritize activities and set the KPI’s for the external partners that deliver technical amendments
and configurations, and system solution providers.
 Make tactical plans and prioritize application changes and system updates, taking into
consideration the whole IT value chain.
 Drive optimization, standardization and automation of your solution portfolio based on best
practices
 On an operational level, you will act as counterpart and escalation point towards the partners,
when it comes to overall priority setting and follow-up on performance.

You will work out of the Global HQ in Copenhagen. You should expect 20-30 travelling days yearly, primarily
within Europe and to India.

The Profile
We expect you to be able to bridge business and IT. Based on your strong business knowledge within
logistics and warehouse management, and your technical understanding of SAP WMS, you can provide
advise around the solution portfolio. Concepts such as LEO Load, Tour Planning (Ortec), Mobile Delivery
Applications and ASTRO (Consafe Logistics) are most likely also familiar to you.

You may have started in the business line, you may even still be in the business line, and now have a strong
motivation to move into IT and act in a leading role. Your previous roles may have been as Application
Consultant, Team-lead in an ERP implementation, Project Manager or the like. You have experience with
incident and application management through a partner set-up, and where you have been the “go-to”
person, when something has not been working.
