Before joining the MSA BArch course this year one of the maininfluential
 factors

to study here was the opportunity to be a teaching assistant. I believe I should be
-
considered as I am a reliable student who can be trusted to commit

needed in both semesters. Apart from being dependable I amconfident
 that

I would be well received by a group of students as I am a clearcommunicator,

approachable, helpful and engaging within a group dynamic.
-
I have accumulated a large experience of computer skills while-studying
 my degree

and working in my year out placement, therefore I am familiar with the majorityof

presentation, 2D and 3D CAD software. More importantly I am confident that I would

able to share with students useful tips, insightful shortcuts as well as encourage
more efficient use of software and improving work flow between different mediums
while achieving an objective.

I place a huge importance in the presentation and graphic design of a project;

I would be able to help students develop their own personal style and strengthen
the delivery of their work through using the Adobe and other digital packages
available.

During my year out I have had a lot of time to develop and refine part of my design
process which involves developing ideas while sketching freehand, followed by 2D
drawings, modelling the drawings into 3D, rendering and finally use collage
techniques in photoshop to create a conceptual or photorealistic feel. As well as
dramatically improving the presentation of a project at degree level these are also
essential skills that students can carry through to professional experience.

Thank you for reading my application.

I hope you enjoy my CV with some visual examples of my work.

Education.
BA(Hons) Architecture
University of Westminster
2:1

Before studying at MSA I obtained my degree at the

University of Westminster.
I developed several interests in architecture, as well
as improving my design and communication skills.

I took an elective module on interior design and digital

representation to develop and gain a further under-
standing in the influence design has on the relation-
ship between people and the inhabited space. As a
result I place a great importance when designing in
the consequential spatial qualities and how a project
is articulated digitally.

For my third year extended essay I based my research

on cybernetics, particularly following the works of
Gordon Pask and projects from Cedric Price such as
the Fun Palace.

In my design studio modules I always maintained an

average higher than 60 throughout duration of degree
course.

Grade higher than 70 in Computer Skills modules and

Technical Studies.

Work.
EPR Architects - Architectural Assistant
(2009/2010)

While working at EPR Architects my team focused on

two projects in particular that were at very different
stages and are between 40 – 100 million pounds in
value.

The first was a sustainable project called ‘Evoasis’ in-

volving Electric Car Charging Stations that will be built
on various sites within London at the start of 2011.
Evoasis was at an early conceptual stage and I was
actively involved in the design process, responsible for
several atmospheric visualisations of several potential
sites throughout London. I was required to do exten-
sive 3D visualisation work involving 3D Studio Max and
Photoshop in particular.

The second project I was involved with is the Minis-

tries of Finance, Kuwait – a large redevelopment of the
existing complex, an overhaul and extension at Stage
D. I was heavily involved within producing technical
drawings which range from general design, technical
detailing of exterior cladding systems to reflective ceil-
ing plans of all floors. This has enabled me to further
develop an understanding and appreciation of how
details should be drawn to convey information clear-
ly, in the process it has strengthened and tested my
technical knowledge of how a building actually comes
together.

Edward Cullian Architects - Internship

(2009)

My internship focused around developing in 3D a

model of a extension for an existing school and also
constructing a physical model to be used in practice to
visually illustrate its impact on surrounding buildings.
