Dear Parent/Carer,
Your son/ward’s Year 10 examination results will be handed to your son/ward on their first day
back in September; at the same time, you will receive their Year 10 attendance record.
If your son/ward sat a public examination in Year 10 (e.g. GCSE English) they will be able to collect
this result on Thursday 23 August at school between 10.00 and 11.00am. If they do not collect
them, they will be handed out as above.
Below is key information about the start of Year 11 and some key dates for the Autumn Term.
Students will bring home on this day a Year 11 contract that will need to be signed and brought back in
on Thursday to be able to start their Year 11 timetable.
May I also remind all parents that if you purchase any new items of uniform or your son/ward has a haircut
for the start of the new academic year then, please, check the website and school planner for the published
appearance policy to check the hairstyles and clothing styles that are acceptable. Any student in breach
of the published standards at the start of term will, unfortunately, be sanctioned and may not be allowed to
return to school or to lessons until the issue is corrected.
Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support during this academic year. We
wish you a safe and happy summer holiday, and look forward to working with your son/ward in September
during their very important Year 11.
Yours faithfully,
Ms J Higginbottom
