CHAPTER 1: ATOMS, MOLECULES AND STOICHIOMETRY

1 Atoms, Molecules and Stoichiometry Candidates should be able to:


(a) describe the properties of protons, neutrons and electrons in terms

HOW DOES MASS SPECTROMETRY WORK?

1. When a high energy electron bombards a molecule


in a mass spectrometer, energy is transferred to that
