 EXODONCIA

Acto quirúrgico mediante el cual una

pieza dentaria es desarticulada y

extraída desde su alveolo.

Objetivos

- Extirpación total del diente

- Sin dolor

- Mínimo daño a los tejidos circundantes

INDICACIONES DE EXODONCIA

• Patología pulpar

• Patología periodontal

• Motivos ortodóncicos

• Anomalías de erupción

• Tumores o quistes

• Comprobar el efecto anestésico

• Sindesmotomia (desbridamiento)

• Prehensión

• Impulsión

• Luxación

• Avulsión

 Incisión

 Colgajo mucoperióstico

 Osteotomía

 Odontosección

 Avulsión

 Acondicionamiento alveolar

 Sutura
 Para poder realizar una extracción tenemos:

 Preoperatorio: examen médico del paciente el cual incluye

estudios radiográficos e imagenológicos, interconsultas cuando
son necesarias, exámenes de laboratorio (ej. coagulación,
glicemia, etc.).

 Diagnóstico

 Plan de Tratamiento

 Acto quirúrgico

 Post operatorio, el cual se divide en inmediato y tardío (en

relación a las eventualidades que puedan llegar a suceder).
- Técnicas de Anestesia
- Técnicas de Exodoncia
- Anatomía ósea, vascular y nerviosa de la zona. Debemos
conocer a cabalidad la anatomía de los Procesos Gíngivo-
Alvéolo-Dentarios (GAD) y la relación de estos con las
estructuras anatómicas vecinas.
 Factores que modifican la adherencia del diente al
hueso

• Factores que modifican la densidad ósea

• Tratamientos dentales: (endodoncia, ortodoncia)

• Akinesia

• Sobrecarga funcional

• Infección (periodontal o periapical)

 Factores que modifican la densidad ósea

• Edad

• La Fuerza de gravedad

• Raza o etnia

• Parafunción

• Alteraciones del metabolismo óseo: osteoporosis,

osteopetrosis, paratiroidismo

• Función y parafunción
Las relaciones anatómicas de los dientes con las estructuras vecinas
determinan los tipos de movimientos y fuerzas que debemos aplicar
(orientación, intensidad, duración de la fuerza) *
