A. CONTENT STANDARD:
The learner is to demonstrate understanding of the dangers of substance use and abuse
on the individual, family and community.

B. PERFORMANCE STANDARD
The learner is to share responsibility with community members through participation in
community efforts to prevent and control substance use and abuse

C. OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
1. Define injury.
2. Differentiate intentional injuries from unintentional injuries.
3. Classify the given situation as to whether they refer to intentional or unintentional
injuries.
4. Showcase examples of intentional and unintentional injuries through role playing.
5. Show enthusiasm in doing the activity.

So for us to further know about our


lesson, let’s have another activity.

The class will be divided into 3 groups.

Group 1 will discuss and give the


definition of the injury.
INJURY is a harm or damage to a person
cause by events or act of someone.

Group 2 will work on the classification


of injury. Differentiate intentional injury
from unintentional injury.
INTENTIONAL INJURY- is the result of
purposeful human action, whether directed at
oneself or others
UNINTENTIONAL INJURY- injury that is
unplanned or considered as accident or not
intended to happen.
Then group 3 will classify the given
news headlines as to whether they are
intentional and unintentional injury.
I will give you 5 min. to discuss it.

In every stage production, behind the


scene is an entire team whose work
begins month in advance of the
actual performance.

Let’s start from Producer. What is the


role of the Producer?
This is the person who takes the play
from a mere concept to an actual
finished presentation. He or she
chooses all the team members and
assigns them their function and
oversees the casting of the actor and
actresses for the different roles.
Next is the Director. What is the role
of the Director?
The director is the overall artistic
coordinator of the entire production.
The director instructs and guides the
actors as to the delivery of their lines
of dialogue, facial expression,
gestures etc.

We have also Playwright. What is the


common name for Playwright? What
is the role of this? The scriptwriter. He or She intended
the script for stage performance. It
contains the exact lines of dialogue
that each character will memorize
and deliver in stage.

Very good. Another one is the Set


Designer .What do you think is the
task of this? The concept and creation of the
physical stage.

Another one is the Lighting Designer.


What is the role of this?

Coordinating closely with the set


designer is the lighting designer.
Lighting designer is critical in creating
the mood of each scene in the play,
highlighting a dramatic moment,
signaling the entrance of a
character, focusing attention on a
specific spot on stage or even
providing the blanket of darkness for
set and props changes.
Very good. Another one is the
costume designer. What is the role of
this?
He or she then decides what attire
will not only give the audience a clear
sense of the setting, but will also
express each characters personality
and distinct qualities.
Very good. In case there is a dance
involve who is included in the
production team? Sir Choreographer. The
choreographers also rehearse the
actors and actresses.

In a stage production, sounds play a


vital role in creating and enhancing
the atmosphere of the performance.
What do you think sound designer
capable of? The sound designer includes music
both on stage and as background.

Also we have Production Manager


and Technical Director. What is the Production Manager is tasked with
role of this? overseeing the crews, for the sets
and props, the sound and music, the
lighting, the costumes etc. The
technical director shadows the play
of the director throughout the entire
production.

As we mentioned a while ago, does a


director play similar to an orchestra
conductor? How? Because he or she has already a
vision of total effect and impact of the
overall performance.

ensures that every instruction is
properly executed to each member of
the team.

What is the importance of each role


to the stage performance?
Each member has a role to do in order to have
a better performance. They do their
task properly to be able to produce a
successful performance.

role to do, if one does not do his/her
job, it may afect the other member
and also the performance.

What will happen if one of the


members does not function well?
Would it lead to a poor performance?

a role play for the production team.
