Project Title: Digital na Me Teacher Perception and Student Attitude towards

Online/ Distance Learning in English Language

Information and Communications Technology (ICT) at secondary schools has

made positive inroads into learning. The use of online e-learning by members of

educational communities is increasing. It is suggested that educators identify and

address individuals’ attitudes so that anxieties can be kept to a minimum while at the

same time allowing learning to progress and be cultivated in a positive manner. (Paris,

2014) The teachers perceived that e-learning/ Edmodo is a useful and also easy to use

technology. It was found out that the teachers are satisfied with advantages of the use

of this new technology in their LMS. Using effective online teaching methods involves

an ability to determine appropriate online teaching strategies and use them effectively.

Based from the recent Phil-IRI Reading Assessment, most of the students got

low score in INFERENTIAL and CRITICAL Questions which are equivalent to higher

order thinking skills questions. There is a need to device a tool that will aid students to

Premediate, assess themselves and tool for teacher in the Digital World.
