Oracle Application Container Cloud:
Fast, Scalable & Agile App Deployment
Oracle Application Container Cloud substantially expands the functionality of the Oracle
Cloud Platform by enabling customers to easily and rapidly deploy Java SE and Node.js
applications along with any required libraries or frameworks on the highly available and
dynamically scalable Oracle cloud infrastructure -- complete with cloud-based tooling for
continuous integration and application management. Its rapid deployment, advanced
functionality and connectivity to database, along with all the other available Oracle cloud
services, results in an easy-to-use, highly-scalable Docker container-based platform for your
applications.
Oracle Application Container Cloud is:
• Fast: Rapid self-service provisioning of Java and Node applications to dedicated and
isolated runtime containers in the cloud.
• Scalable: Select the amount of memory per application instance and scale out
dynamically on demand.
• Open: Choose from a number of popular Java and Node.js releases, and take advantage
of any of the thousands of available libraries and application frameworks.
• Agile: Comprehensive cloud-based development tools to continuously integrate, deploy,
and manage your applications.
• Integrated: Connect to Oracle Database Cloud Service to persist application data, Oracle
Storage Cloud service for scalable and reliable object storage, and Oracle Messaging
Service for reliable messaging between your cloud and on-premise applications.

 Java SE Advanced
For Java applications, the Oracle Application Container Cloud provides Java SE Advanced,
the most advanced and comprehensive Java runtime, enabling you to run any Java
application. Bring your resources (jars, classes, html, images, etc.), define the application
classpath along with any other startup arguments, and get up and running immediately.
Leverage all of the advanced commercial features of Java SE Advanced—such as Java
Flight Recorder—now available exclusively on the Oracle Cloud.

Node.js™
As Node.js continues to grow in popularity, so does the desire to run Node.js apps in a rich
cloud environment. Oracle Application Container Cloud enables you to rapidly deploy
Node.js applications to the Oracle Cloud Platform, run on your choice of popular recent
releases, and leverage any of the tens of thousands of available modules to simplify and
accelerate application development For database access, Node applications can use
Oracle’s high-performance, native Node driver to persist application data to the Oracle
Database Cloud Service.

On the roadmap: PHP, Ruby, Python and other dedicated language support.
