1. Welcome back celebration for current NJHS students 
2. Plan induction for new students

1. Induction for new students 
2. 8th grade students: begin planning timeline for service projects 
 
November:  
1. 7th grade students: begin service project proposals 
2. 8th grade students: finalize service project dates in January and February 
 
December: 
1. Mid-year celebration for all NJHS students 
2. Mid-year conferences with staff council members for all 7th and 8th grade students 
 
January: 
1. 7th grade students: service project proposals 1st draft due 
2. 8th graders begin planning whole-group service learning project with staff council 
 
February: 
1. 7th grade students: service project proposal presentations held this month 
2. 8th grade students: finish completing service projects 
 
March: 
1. Whole-group service learning project held this month 
2. Students complete reflection project on whole-group service learning experience 
 
April: 
1. 7th grade students: submit final service project proposals 
2. 8th grade students: present outcomes of service projects at school and community 
showcase 
May:  
1. End of the year close-out celebration 
2. Graduation celebration for 8th grade students
