Ø  Finish implementing revised Hit-Skip Process Improvement


throughout the Department. All districts and CBS were trained by
April 2018.
v CPD investigated 5,294 hit skip accidents in 2017
v Traf_ic Unit investigated 4,722 of these hit-skips
v Allows centralized Traf_ic Unit to be more proactive in addressing
repeat crash locations on the highways and surface streets.

Ø  Implement Daily Injury Crash Report . The report will be utilized by
District and Traf_ic Unit supervision to direct our enforcement efforts
appropriately.

Ø  District commanders directed to re-implement a dedicated Traf_ic
Of_icer on each shift to proactively address repeat crash locations and
community complaints.

TRAFFIC CRASH REDUCTION GOALS


Ø  Expand training and duties of the Motorcycle Squad to include:
Serious/Fatal crashes, Traf_ic Enforcement, and Public Safety.

Ø  Work in conjunction with Avondale PIVOT Project personnel in to


reduce crashes on Reading Road between William Howard Taft Road
and Clinton Springs Avenue.
