OVERVIEW – WHAT IS THE ELS?

¡ The Fordham Entrepreneur Law Society (ELS) is a student-run

organization that aims to be a resource for students interested in
entrepreneurship and the law
¡ ELS engages its members through informative events and targeted
networking with Fordham alumni and attorneys in the New York
City area who are entrepreneurs or work with entrepreneurs in the
legal industry
¡ 120-150 active members (1L/2L)
¡ Email list reaches 700+ current students
¡ 250+ alumni connections

¡ Upcoming Events & Initiatives
¡ Keynote addresses & panels by entrepreneurs, attorneys and venture
capitalists
¡ Visits to startups, law firms and venture capital firms
¡ Networking initiatives including mentorship between
upperclassmen/alumni with 1Ls

¡ Collaboration with other Fordham Organizations

¡ Student organizations such as the Real Estate Law Society and the
Media & Entertainment Law Society
¡ Administration organization such as the Corporate Law Center, the
Entrepreneurial Law Clinic and the Gabelli School of Business

¡ ELS will integrate with the Gabelli School of Business, the
Entrepreneurial Law Clinic and private companies throughout NYC,
Stamford and the West Coast

¡ ELS will continuously look to partner with startups, law firms and
venture capital firms for sponsorship opportunities
¡ ELS will also partner with the ELAC and other Fordham alumni
associations
¡ Broad Perspectives
¡ ELS will recruit speakers and event hosts that offer a broad range of
expertise, market outlook and legal perspectives
