Course Synopsis
Practice of Professional Engineering Examination has been implemented for a number of years. Engineers
find the scope of the subjects is very wide, often engineers do not know how to approach and prepare for
the examination. This course is aim to assist Engineer in preparation of the Examination. Board view and
the purposeful meaning of the examination will be discussed, the trainer will brief weakness and common
mistakes made by candidates who responded to the exam questions. This course will assist engineers to
have in depth understanding of the Professional Engineer Act and Rule which most engineers find it is
difficult to comprehend.

1. What is Professional Engineer, Qualified Person in Singapore?

2. Syllabus of PPE Exam. “What” and “How” to approach and prepare for?
3. PE Act & PE Act Rule (Code of Professional Conduct and Ethic)
4. Case Studies on Disciplinary Action and Professional Ethic
5. Feedback on Exam Result – Common mistakes and weaknesses

Trainer Profile
Er. Wong Pui Fun, Joanne is the Associate Director of Meinhardt Infrastructure Pte
Ltd. She has more than 30 years of post-graduate practical experience in
construction industrial. She has experiences in wide range of building and infra
projects. She is well verse with authorities’ requirement, rule and regulation and
various code of practice.
She has been acting as Qualified Person Professional Engineer (Civil) for many iconic
projects on behalf of project owners as well as contractors. She sits in various
committees in IES and ACES. Joanne also conducts other training courses for
Engineers. She is familiar with the PPE exam requirements.
