Applications are invited for one post of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) and one post of
Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in DST sponsored project entitled “Design and
Development of a Membrane Reformer Prototype for production of Ultra-Pure
Hydrogen from Methanol for Fuel Cell Based Vehicle and Power Generators”, at the
Department of Chemical Engineering, IIT Guwahati.

Qualification & Experience:

SRF: M.E./ M.Tech in Chemical Engineering/associated branches or M.Sc Chemistry

/B.E./BTech in Chemical Engineering/associated branches with GATE Score and two years
of work experience. Candidate with experience in Catalysis, Membrane science and/or
process intensification will be given preferences.

JRF: M.Sc Chemistry /B.E./BTech in Chemical Engineering or associated branches with

GATE Score. Candidate with experience in Catalysis, Membrane science and/or process
intensification will be given preferences.

Scale of pay:

SRF: Rs. 28,000/- + 20% HRA and Medical Allowance as per IITG rules.

JRF: Rs. 25,000/- + 20% HRA and Medical Allowance as per IITG rules.

Terms: Appointment will be initially for a period of One year only (Adhoc basis), which can
be extended up to three year based on performance of the candidate.
