Sir:

Good day Sir!

We, the Six (6) Fourth Class Cadets of Masaligan Class of 2021 from
Mindanao were among the batch of cadets of the Philippine Military
Academy (PMA) who were provisionally discharged from the PMA Cadet
training last April of 2018 due to academic deficiencies. After the said
decision of the PMA Academic Board, we immediately appealed therefrom
and plead that we will be allowed to have a removal exam but the same
was also denied by the Academic Board.
Pending the final order of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP)
and the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) regarding our case, we appeal
to your good office and pray that we will not be finally discharged from
PMA training and be dismissed from the AFP. We asked your consideration
and be allowed to continue in our cadetship as a member of the PMA class
of 2022 than be finally expelled from this prestigious institution. We are
advised to have our readmission by taking the next PMA Entrance Exam
but the same is not feasible for us as most of us will already be over
twenty-one (21) years old by next year, making us disqualified to the said
reentrance.
Since we were young, we dreamed of becoming a soldier and serve
our country, the same was partially fulfilled when we passed the PMA
Entrance Exam and was successfully admitted to the Academy. While
inside the PMA, we learned of so many things and we are developed to a
more responsible person, being molded to become the future military
officers of the nation. We are made to face the non-ending physical and
mental exercises. In the course of our training, however, we managed to
adjust and cope with the rigors and hardships of being a “plebo”. These
rigid physical activities unfortunately caused us to fall short on our
academics, and eventually brought us to this very ill-fated situation.
Even so, we are very much hopeful that you will extend to us your
kind heart as our dream of graduating in this celebrated institution has
never faltered, even a bit. We still hope and pray that we will be given a
chance to again show that we are worthy to become the country’s best
military officers.
To his end, we humbly asked for you help Sir so that our appeal be
granted and that we will be readmitted to the Philippine Military Academyl
even if it will cost us being turned back to the our lower class, the PMA
Class of 2022. If allowed to be readmitted, we swear to do everything we
can to prove our worth and not to put into waste this second chance.
Hoping for your consideration and favorable response.

Respectfully yours,
