1. Verify that all of the components of the engine front support are clean and free of foreign material prior to
installation.

2. Inspect all components for wear and replace the components, if necessary.

3. Position support assembly (9) to the trunnion.

4. Apply Tooling (D) to the threads of bolts (8). Install bolts (8) that hold support assembly (9) to the
trunnion.

5. Use Tooling (B) in order to lift the front of the engine until Tooling (C) can be removed.

6. Use Tooling (B) in order to lower the front of the engine until the front engine support rests on the support
assembly.

7. Install bolts (3) that hold the front engine support to the support assembly. Tighten bolts (3) to a torque of
475 ± 60 N·m (350 ± 44 lb ft). Remove Tooling (B).

8. Install damper adapter (2) to the crankshaft. Install bolts (1).

9. Remove Tooling (A) from the bottom of the cylinder block assembly.

10. Tighten bolts (6) on cap (7) to a torque of 475 ± 60 N·m (350 ± 44 lb ft).

11. Tighten bolts (4) on cap (5) to a torque of 475 ± 60 N·m (350 ± 44 lb ft).

End By:

a. Install the vibration damper. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Vibration Damper - Remove and
Install".

b. Install the fan drive. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fan Drive - Install".

c. Install the oil pan. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Oil Pan - Install".
