- Mostly, or they're friends of a friend, I've met most of them in person
-Personally, no
- No not all
- No. Most of them I have at least met before but some are friends of friends
or friends partners.
- Mostly. I remove people I think I'll never see again
- i believe so, but i cant rule out letting some people i dont know through the
friendship request. i would say i know 99% of people just to be safe with the
question
- About 90%
- No
- Yes
- Not all, but at least 90% are people I've had an interaction with either at
school or party, etc.
4. Have you ever met anyone online.
-Don’t think so.
-I have met a few
-Yes
-I have met multiple people online!
- No
- yes
- yes, several
- No
- No
- No

5. If yes, have you met? how did you decide it was safe to meet them?
-No
- I have met 3 in person. I decided when video messaging was an option
- I'd known them previously
- I have only caught up with a few people I’ve met online. All were for
auditions for a bands or photoshoots and I only met them in well populated
areas, in the day once I had done some research about them, their band or
their company.
-i have met quite a lot of people online, but i dont usually see them. I can
recall meeting two people that i met online. One of them was a friend of a

another friend of a friend, but now we dont talk tongue emoticon

you didn't want up? What did you do?
-Yes, I untagged myself
- On tumblr, with an ex. I don't know how to remove myself from the tag
- Yes, I contacted them and requested they take it down and they agreed
- There have been lots of photos or updates about outings I’ve been too which
I have never consented too. Most I am not worried about but there are a few
photos I haven’t been very impressed that have been put on social media. I
have done anything about it though.
- Nope
- yes
- Not that I recall.
- Don't think so
- Bad picture, asked them to take it down, they obliged
- Yes, just photos of me I personally didn't like. I just untagged myself so it
wouldn't come up for my friends to see, and have asked them to remove if I
had a real problem with it (only happened once)
7. Do you feel safe using the internet?
-As safe as one can feel in our technology fuelled society
-I feel safe with few things on the internet but technology is heavily relied on in
this day and age. So it's a case of adapt or die
- Not really
- Most of the time I don’t think about the safety aspect of the internet unless it
comes to online shopping or I hear about a friends online profile being
hacked, then I get a little bit worried.
- Yea
-yes, i realise there probably is government agencies looking into what im
doing online, but i really dont have much to hide online, i hardly ever do
anything on social media. All of my most personal stuff i keep to myself and
my friends
- Yeah, I can look after myself
- Yep
- Sortof
- Yes, as I believe that I use it responsibly and safely. Eg. Don't add people on
Facebook who I don't know/ no mutual friends, block or not respond to
messages who I don't know or feel uncomfortable talking to, don't go on many
sites other than Facebook, tumblr, pintrest etc.

8. Google yourself (don't forget to check images) - do you come up?

What comes up that is you? Do you want it there?
- Myspace pictures/political events or petitions I’ve attended/signed /sports
stuff/atar scores in school newsletter, I don't mind
- Google me has actors' workshop, Instagram and YouTube
- Yes, images of my previous searches, even from YouTube. No I don't mind.
- I couldn’t find myself by just typing my full name.
- I do not come up at all
- Nothing comes up, my name is a very common name.
- My Twitter, facebook and Instagram, along with some dance sport results,
and photos of my cosplays.
- Nothing of me in the first page of web and images
- No photos of me show up, mostly about a doctor with the same name in the
US. Not concerning.

9. Do you use any cloud based services e.g. iCloud, dropbox. Do you
change passwords regularly?
- No
- I use drop box and no I don't. I can't remember all of my different passwords.
There're too many
- Yes iCloud and Dropbox. No not really
- I don’t use any cloud based services.
- I have dropbox but dont use it, and I never change passwords
- Does cloud deakin count? if not then i use none, only if i release my
password to someone, i change then, however, that only usually happens for
online games.
- No and no.
- Yes I use iCloud but never change password
- No I don't
- I use Dropbox to back up the photos on my phone. I rarely change my
password unless needed/ forgotten.

10. What do you consider illegal content?

- Child pornography
- Illegal content is lack of respect for privacy, people under the age of 12
seeing sexual content
- Anything that's immoral or highly offensive.
- I don’t really know... I guess illegal things you can purchase online. Child
pornography and stuff like that. Most bullying online I know isn’t illegal but
something should be done about it.
- I guess shit like child porn, ummm I cant really think of much else
• - anything that is against the law of the australian government. People
• do a lot of illegal stuff online, its impossible to manage the internet so a
• lot slips through the cracks, however, usually only the small things like
• video and music piracy slip through the cracks the more illegal stuff i
• believe gets found eventually
- Shit that's considered illegal by the government.
- Err child pornography, probably pirated media
- Offensive to the person in it, endorsement of any kind of abuse or assault.
Explicit content (not for children's eyes)
- Illegal content includes pirated movies/ music/ TV (guilty), false accounts
impersonating others, sharing/ posting nude images of minors. Then there's
the (deep web) illegal activity (drug dealing, child pornography, hacking
government servers)

11. What do you do when you see something offensive on a social

media site.
- Post my opinion or report
- I would report it if I ever stumbled across it
- I report it to the admin
- If it is something that is on my page or my pictures then Ill ask them to stop
communicating on the internet. Otherwise if it is passing, it makes me angry
but I wont really do anything.
- Ignore it
- It depends, most things I just leave and move on, however, if its something
big I will leave a negative comment usually that never happens
- Avoid feeding the trolls
- Report it
- Unlike the page or keep scrolling, or if its really offensive -report it
- Honestly I don't do much about it, mostly because if it's posted by someone I
know, Facebook won't do anything about it if I was to report it. If it's posted by
someone I don't know personally and it has made its way to my newsfeed,
often other people share my point of view in the comments and I don't feel the
need to get worked up about it. (Sorry for always using Facebook as the
example)

12. How often do you spend on the internet? What does that time
consist of?
-Check fb everyday, or uni stuff. not long but regularly
-I spend a few hours daily altogether, which consists of communicating with
friends regarding organising social events, school projects, research for
school projects, online window shopping, shopping for costumes/props and
sometimes music/videos
- Maybe a half hour each day or more. Consists of media, YouTubes and
General google searches
- I spend a lot of my spare time browsing through Tumblr, Pintrest and
Instagram. I sometimes jump on Facebook. I spend a lot of my time getting
my internet fix on YouTube just watching anything that pops up.
- Semi regularly I guess. Streaming shows/movies and playing games mostly
-if you count online gameing as using the internet then a lot. I play heaps of
online games, spend maybe 20 mins on facebook a day and watch a few
youtube videos about online gaming
-I’m just on and off all the time, mostly used for talking and YouTube.
-I mainly just message people on fb
-Facebook, everyday. Mainly just socialising. Although I also spend it
watching tv shows online and youtube for music and tedtalks.
- During school time, I will easily use the Internet for 3-4 hours each day. On
the holidays or weekends I would spend up to 6 hours. This includes
socialising through Facebook chats, posting and viewing friends photos on
Instagram, finding recipes and inspiration on pintrest and browsing photos on
tumblr.
