SPECIFIC SAFETY INFORMATION:

AUXILIARY ENGINE COMPARTMENT

The auxiliary engine compartment contains engine and ancillaries,
blower, air compressor and hydraulic pump. As such it contains many
moving parts, fan belts etc and also gets hot.

1. Ensure the auxiliary engine is switched off before removing cover.

2. Be aware that all items will be hot after the machine has been
running.
3. Never remove the radiator cap while the radiator is hot.
4. Unless fully qualified do not operate the auxiliary engine with the
engine cover removed and while personnel are on the walkway.
5. Ensure any guards within the engine cover are in place

DELIVERY HOSE, BOOM AND NOZZLE

The delivery hose and nozzle are mounted on a hinged two piece boom,
which has restraints available to be fitted for use in off camber situations.
The boom and adjustments are designed to enable the operator to work
comfortably and safely, provided that they are set up correctly.

1. Always adjust the boom restraints, nozzle height and wheel

orientation before commencing patching.
2. Be aware that the correct posture should be maintained to prevent
fatigue.
3. Do not FIGHT the delivery hose – change position and get
comfortable.
4. Never direct the air flow from the nozzle towards a body part or face.
5. Always connect safety chain on rear arms when travelling

PRESSURISED STORAGE VESSELS

Jetpatcher uses pressurized tanks to move all fluids onboard. This

negates problems caused by pumps etc. All fluids are normally stored
under pressure when the machine is operating.

All tanks have individual safety pressure relief valves fitted.

1. Always release the pressure relief lever valve on top of the tank
before attempting to open any tank ball valve.

2. Always double check pressure gauge is reading zero before opening

a tank ball valve.
3. Ensure master pressure does not exceed 40 psi.
4. Never adjust any safety release valve.
VENTURI DISTRIBUTOR AND HOPPER GATE
The patented venturi distributor has no moving parts. It relies on air
volume to move the aggregate, and is therefore very safe.

1. Do not place hands in venturi funnel.

2. Do not place hands near hopper gates and the hopper gate cylinder
