A) Those who took the CET, did not pass the CET but can meet the following requirements:

1. Must be an athlete of top caliber* who is willing to serve WMSU by being a member
of a varsity team;
2. Must have earned at least 24 academic units with a general weighted average at
least “2.5”;
3. Medical Certificate, and
4. Certificate from former and/or current coach (s).

INCOMING FRESHMEN:

Submit Transcript of Records. Submit all requirements listed under the incoming
freshmen except requirements no. 2 (33 units with a weighted average of 2.5 is needed).
CONDITIONS AND POLICIES APPLICANT WILL HAVE TO ABIDE BY AFTER QUALIFYING
FOR TEAM TRY OUT AND WHEN ACCEPTED AS A VAAP SCHOLAR
(Details of Conditions and Policies are started in the Contract to be signed by the scholar)
1. Serve the varsity team as an active regular member, this includes:
a. Practice with the team at least 3x a week which includes being in time and complying
with the training program.
b. To participate in events/tournaments other than the Palarong Pambansa which the
team decides to participate in.
2. You are under contract for four (4) years to play for your varsity team in the CHED
preliminary meets/activities and other leagues.
3. Enroll for credit in at most five (5) academic subjects (15 to 17 units) per semester for two
semesters per academic year.
4. Pass at least 4 or 5 subjects/50% + 1 per semester for both semesters.
5. The applicant shall not be allowed to take other course, other than BPE until graduation.
6. The applicant must take and pass the CET within his/her first two years stay in the University
VAAP Program.
Failure to satisfy any of the above conditions is a ground for barring violators for
enrolment in the Western Mindanao State University (WMSU).
