    MICROBIOLOGY ROOMS

    1.PURPOSE : To describe the procedure for cleaning procedure for microbiology room.

    2.SCOPE : This procedure is applicable to quality control department.

    3.RESPONSIBILITY : Microbiologist

    4.ACCOUNTABILITY : Manager-Quality control.

    5.PROCEDURE : Daily before and after the work .The cleaning procedure for microbiology

    room given below.

    a. Disinfect the floor with either of the solution alternately on the same day given below.

    i) 2.5%v/v Dettol

    ii)2.5%v/v Savlon

    b. Spray the area including floor and walls with 2.5% v/v dettol or savlon

    c. At every weekend clean the walls and floor using soap solution. Then clean with water

    finally clean with 70% IPA.

    6. FREQUENCY OF CLEANING : Daily
