PENDAHULUAN

Skrip Bahasa Inggeris Dalam Pengajaran dan Pembelajaran di Prasekolah ini disediakan bagi
memenuhi matlamat Kurikulum Standard Prasekolah Kebangsaan (KSPK) iaitu untuk
menyediakan panduan kepada para guru dalam proses pelaksanaan pengajaran dan
pembelajaran secara terancang dan bersistematik menggunakan Bahasa Inggeris. Pengalaman
berbahasa dan berkomunikasi dalam Bahasa Inggeris khususnya dalam pendidikan di peringkat
prasekolah memerlukan guru memiliki kemahiran asas yang kukuh bagi menyediakan suasana
yang boleh membantu murid-murid menguasai prinsip berbahasa secara berkesan dan
bermakna. Dalam konteks ini, contoh skrip ini berperanan untuk memberikan panduan dan
idea kepada guru untuk merancang dan menyediakan arahan dan perbualan asas
menggunakan Bahasa Inggeris melalui aktiviti yang relevan dan bersesuaian. Ini bagi
membantu guru-guru prasekolah khususnya, membangunkan pengetahuan dan kemahiran
berbahasa Inggeris secara lebih realistik dan terancang seiring dengan keperluan semasa
berbahasa yang memerlukan guru mampu menguasai lebih daripada satu bahasa.

Contoh skrip ini tidak mungkin dapat memenuhi semua keperluan guru yang pelbagai dan
beraneka. Begitu juga tidak berupaya untuk menyentuh setiap aspek dalam Standard
Kandungan dan Standard Pembelajaran sebagaimana yang didokumentasikan melalui KSPK.
Namun, diharapkan Skrip Bahasa Inggeris Dalam Pengajaran dan Permbelajaran di Prasekolah
ini akan dapat digunakan sebagai sumber panduan yang bermakna serta berupaya membantu
guru bagi merancang dan melaksanakan pengajaran dan pembelajaran yang berkesan dan
menarik. Ini bagi memenuhi keperluan asas dalam Bahasa Inggeris iaitu memberikan
pengalaman berbahasa serta berkomunikasi yang melibatkan kesepaduan aktiviti melalui
kaedah yang bersesuaian dengan pengalaman pembelajaran yang bermakna dan
menggembirakan di prasekolah.

Prinsip utama yang diguna pakai dalam penyediaan skrip ini adalah berdasarkan kepada
pendekatan dan kandungan pembelajaran yang relevan dengan kanak-kanak serta turut
mengambil kira peranan utama guru sebagai pemimpin dalam aspek pengajaran dan
pembelajaran. Skrip akan berupaya menjadi wahana bagi membantu guru memperoleh konsep
dan kemahiran asas secara holistik yang seterusnya boleh diimplementasikan untuk membina
asas yang kukuh kepada kanak-kanak dalam proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran yang lebih
terancang dan bersistematik.

Bertitik tolak atas rasional ini, Skrip Bahasa Inggeris Dalam Pengajaran dan Permbelajaran di
Prasekolah ini dibina dengan mengambil kira keperluan sebenar para guru serta menyediakan
panduan yang signifikan khususnya dalam merancang dan melaksanakan aktiviti pengajaran
dan pembelajaran yang positif kepada murid-murid. Kejayaan dan keberkesanan pengajaran
dan pembelajaran amat dipengaruhi kepada tahap pemahaman dan penghayatan guru dalam
merealisasikan hasrat dan matlamat yang terkandung dalam KSPK.
