The utilization of the Vessel Training Center to supplement the learning of the midshipmen/midshipwomen of MAAP
concerning their maritime subjects.

Statement of the problem:

 Will the use of VTC equipment enhance the learning of MAAP midshipmen/midshipwomen?
 Is there a significant development on the retention of information with the actual use of VTC equipment?
 Is it more effective to use the VTC after the classroom instructions?

The VTC equipment aided me to realize the principles of

operation of the equipment onboard ship ( i.e., Pumps,
valves, etc. ).

The hands-on experience on the VTC made me

understand why such equipment are used onboard.

The laboratory experience widened my knowledge of

the equipment & machineries in terms of maintenance
and use.
