Learning Objective 2.11 The student will identify George Washington,

Abraham Lincoln, Susan B. Anthony, Helen Keller,
Jackie Robinson, and Martin Luther King, Jr., as
Americans whose contributions improved the lives of
other Americans.
Activity This learning activity will get students energized about
not only learning, but assessment as well. Students
will know the main facts about all of the American
hero’s, and leaders listed above throughout the week.
(Or as long ad teacher has planned). The students will
introduce to website https://www.quizalize.com/
where they will be quizzed, by quizzes created by
their classmates. This game can be used for
summative and in this case formative assessment, to
determine if students are able to identity the
Americans listed above.

The game will include:

 Questions will one correct answer
 No open ended questions
 1-2 questions on each American
 Students will get to see their own scores
(correct or wrong answers)

Directions for Use (Students will play game on ipads, laptops or

computers)
1. First the teacher will go to the internet
browser
2. Next type in URL: https://www.quizalize.com/
3. Teacher will prompt students to follow steps 1
& 2.
4. When students arrive the website they will be
prompted to type in the class code that will be
give to them.
5. Students will type in the class code
6. Once students are into the game, they will
create a username/nickname they want to
identify with during the game.
7. Once all students are logged in, the teacher
will begin the game on the computer.
8. Students will play the game until its entirety.
9. Once game is done the students will be able
to see their scores.
10. Students will repeat steps 1-9 for quizzes
created by their peers.
11. After game is complete the students will log
out of the game, and close out of the Internet
