History of San Isidro Elementary School

San Isidro Elementary school is located at P.Ocampo St.Barangay San


Isidro elementary, Taytay, Rizal. It derived its name from the patron saint of
the barangay were three out of schools in Taytay I district are located.

It was previously registered to the ROMAN CATHOLIC ARCHBISHOP OF


MANILA as contained in transfer CERTIFICATE no. of the title no. 50949 in
the Registry of DEEDS of Rizal. It was formerly located at the Cruz -Tancinco
Subdivision identify as the roads lot s no. 1-9 (LCR) pcs 462. On June 5,
1972 the lot was donated to the municipality of Taytay through a deed of
donation executed by Mrs. Maria C. Tancinco and DR. Cecilio G. Cruz. Later
it was registered under Tax Declaration No. 01-2076 and 01-2077. The
donated school producing dynamic citizens in the community.

Varied activities and programs are offered the multiple learning of the
child. The Alternative Learning System (ALS) offers computer classes to out-
of-school youths (OSY), Adults and even regular school children. There are
eleven computer units donated by the generous members of Rotary Club of
Nishiwaki Japan. Instructors are supported by the Municipal School Board
(MSB). The computer are held Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturday for the
OSY.

Likewise, a Drum and Lyre Corps. Composed of interested Grades III-IV


are given training after class hours. In the aspect, discipline, poise and love
for music are further instilled in the pupils. Other programs are the Supreme
Pupil Government where the leadership capabilities of the student leaders are
being tapped. Girls scout and Boys Scout are registered and hold scouting
activities every Friday afternoon. Camping, contest, jamboree are some of the
activities engaged in. Specialized training is given to athletes or players good
in the ball games and field games. They compete in the municipal meet then I

the provincial meet and if they win they will represent in the STCAA and the
palarong pambansa.

Training/Reinforcement for Fast learners in the academics is done during


break time or after class hours. These activities enrich the selected pupils to
prepare them for the district competitions in Math, Science, HEKASI and
campus journalism.

However slow learners are not left behind. Remediation is likewise being
conducted by the selected teachers in English and Filipino, special subject
like Reading and Mathematics. Some utilizes the Big Brother, Big Sister
approach, some the individualized instruction while others utilize the
groupings.

This school year the program 1 and 7 is being implemented. In this


scheme, the students of section one, the highest and seven, the lowest meet
one another so that the fast learners can easily gain access to their little
sisters and little brothers whom they will remediation program in reading and
mathematics.

The school is proud to have a computer room housing eleven units of


computer donated by the generous Rotary Club of Metro East Taytay and
Rotary Club in Nishikawa Japan. The pupils enjoy the whole day sessions
because enough rooms are provided.

The old stage was converted to a Math Lab/LRC where equipment


and various instructional materials are available for use by the teachers.
Lessons are undertaken in the Math LRC to allow children to the hand-on
encounter with different kits. It also serves as room in holding modified In-
Scholl Out-School Approach (MISOSA) classes.

The school was able to purchase an LCD projector out of the funds
solicited from generous residents of Taytay and another one which was
donated by the Rotarians. It assist teachers and pupils in their lessons.
Lesson Plans were produced in order to maximize the use of projector.as

a matter of fact the last year’s graduation exercise was greatly successful
because of the visuals the LCD projector showed.

productive, responsible and upright citizen who can contribute for the betterment
of life and society.

To provide quality education through relevant knowledge, skills, values and


attitudes and commit oneself in improving the quality of life of his family,
community and country.

INTRODUCTION

“Education is the passport to the future, for


tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it”.

Education is to empower students to find their own paths to their own dreams,
to create lifelong learners who are prepared for both the modern world and the
future and to empower individuals to make a positive impact in the world. The
time that we leave the school, we should learned to fit into the larger society as
well as how our abilities and skills can be used in the community. Education is
one of the necessary factors for social development and a good education starts
at good school. Without education we will be prepared for the future. It is also
essential to improve the trade and commerce and to bring prosperity to our
country. Education help us to open new opportunities.

Education teaches people how to reason, and if they are taught how to
reason well, then they help subdue their own thoughts of ignorance. For
example, there are lots of posts and websites on the Internet about childhood
vaccinations and how dangerous they are. Ignorant people than never learned
how to reason will look at them, believe them and support them. If a person is
taught how to reason then he or she will know how to recognize empirical
evidence.

That person would look at all the people that have had childhood injections
and then look at all the people. If a person is taught how to reason then that
person may see how people that smoke seem more likely to develop
emphysema than people that do not smoke. They would then reason there is a

link between smoking and emphysema. This sort of reasoning can be taught in
schools, and if children are not taught it then they walk around risking their
children’s lives by not vaccinating them, and walk around smoking because their
daddy smoked for years and it never hurt him.

A good education is important because you will be able to think for yourself
and communicate intelligently to other people. Persons who don`t have a good
education background will have a difficult time finding jobs and also will earn less
money. If a person is unable to reason and think for himself / herself then that
person will have problem in finding and keeping a job. They will not be very
successful in life until they improve their educational background. Jobs are hard
to get, and the employers will seek the most qualified and intelligent person to fill
the vacancy because of the competition out there.

To achieve success in one's life you need to start by attending college or


university to achieve a degree or diploma. Remember the focus here is how you
can achieve success in one's life. Well you can start by achieving a certificate,
diploma and degree. So, you can start from the bottom to the top. Having a good
education is an investment like owning a house or a car. Once you invest your
time and money in your education you will reap the huge reward what it will give
you in life.

The vast amount of knowledge gained through education prepares individuals to


solve problems, teach others, function at a higher level and implement
transformational ideas. Without education, one’s chances for securing a good job
and ascending to a higher economic and social status are often limited. ith a
degree or special training in a specific field, a person can secure any type of job.
A good education gives individuals the practical knowledge to succeed in their
profession of choice after landing a job. It also allows individuals to expand upon
their natural skill and talents and turn them into something greater. When a solid
education is combined with experience, individuals can truly show their potential.

Many nations in the world choose to invest in the higher education of their
citizens because each government understands the significant growth and

positive impact education has on an entire country. In a highly competitive and


globalized economy, higher education prepares members of each society to
accomplish great feats and meet the challenges of the future.

November 23, 2016

On the first of the OJT in San Isidro Elementary School her name is Mrs.
Elisa Babela she escorted me to my coordinating teacher. Grade 5 sincerity
was the pilot of grade 5 Mrs. Campo was my coordinating teacher and
adviser of the pilot section, she teaches English and A.P. She ask me to
observe for today all the subjects in grade 5 to know which subject I will teach
for the student. Their first subject was English today she teaches Ashley
which is the representative of their class in reading story. Her story titled “the
Necklace” the story are not suitable at her age and it was too long for her to
read. After that Mrs. Campo discuss her lesson which is standards in reading
she make her student demonstrate the right posture when reading silently.
Students are actively participating. Their next class was science their teacher
is Mrs. David she recap her students about the past lesson she ask them to
distinguish which is translucent, transparent or opaque. Their lesson for today
was about static electricity the discussion only takes 20 minutes after
discussion she conduct recitation for the assessment of the student and for
them to understand more about the lesson, after class she asked her
students to bring tomorrow some materials for their experimentation. Next is
EPP they were divided into groups to conduct their project which is extension
cord. Today was their second day while making their projects they were
messing around. So while they were finishing their works the teacher discuss
that after they done to their projects they assess themselves if they correctly
follow the instructions. Next is Math Sir David was their teacher he start his
class in grading recitation to recap the past lesson many didn’t know the
answer, their lesson for today was about different kinds of lines.

A.P was their last subject Mrs. Campo was their teacher before she start her
class she shows the class the different pictures of woman she identify the
names of the woman that she shows. And they answer it correctly after that
she discuss her lesson about the culture that we inherit to the Español after
that she conduct an activity. She divide the class to four groups each groups

has different task that are related to the subject. The class was extended to
30 minutes because it takes long time for them to finish the activity.

November 24, 2016

The class has 22 boys and 25 girls total of 47 students in pilot section.
Today was the competition of story reading. Before that Mrs. Campo ask me
to teach Ashley on how to enhance her way of storytelling. The competition
has started, 8 participants in each section in grade 5. Ashley won in third
place so after the program she was greeted because she was won. Today
has no class because of the program. Their foods was delivered in their
classroom which is they buy it through their adviser the total of the foods is
PHP 300. They didn’t have MAPEH and science for today because of the
program so after recess we were going to the lab of EPP to finish their
projects.

Today I only observe the discussion in English class because every Friday
we have a meeting in CCC.

November 28, 2016

I teach in English because Mrs. Campo asked me to teach. To train me in


teaching English so at the day of my demo I can easily teach to my student
the topic. Patiently she gave me a few tips. After that I teach in ESP my topic
is about decision making.

November 29, 2016

Today was there parade it started around 1 o’clock and ends in 2o’clock
after the parade they have another program in their cover court their program
is about reading month. After the program their next class is EPP their project
is about making a lantern using plastic bottles. Some groups didn’t complete
their materials. The teacher demonstrate on how to create paper Lantern.

Today I was assigned to teach in English class because Mrs. Campo was
not around. In Filipino Class they make a slogan and essay was the title of
the seminar Violence against women and children that was there theme the
winning entry will be announce after the seminar. The theme is” Violence free
community starts within”. After Sir Archie announce the theme they did there
poster and essay. After that Mrs. Campo have her lesson in E.P and take the
time of E.P and math.

Their First subject is English before they start they have English
comprehension her lesson for today is about cause and effect.

Today I teach in English subject in three sections in grade 5 the lesson is


cause and effect. Cause and effect was my local demo. I was ask to practice

in section honesty and integrity that teacher Josie handling. She said to me
that I must practice my speaking skills because I have a low voice and my
presentation is small the font must be bigger.

In Esp. I teach them on how to sing awit ng kapaligiran. Now they assign
me to teach me Filipino subject. In English class they were given an activity in
cause and effect. She show me how she teach cause and effect. The next
class is EPP there class was in EPP lab were beside canteen they discuss on
the safety tips how to not burn house. In math they have graded recitation
about their pass lesson.

Today was the seminar of violence against women and children this is a
program of the government were in its goal is to give awareness for their
children and parents. It is on how it affects children and also to woman who
are silence in their experience in violence. They tackle also the history why
their husband hurting their wife and children. Their dismissal is only at 4
o’clock because teaches have their practice in dancing and have an activity in
Kalayaan Park. Some parents didn’t attend to the seminar.

Today they were have a discussion about the seminar that happened on
Wednesday. Mrs. Campo congratulate some students who won best in essay
and slogan. They have regular classes………….

Today they practiced cariñosa. 3 hours of practice and some were bored
because it always repeat. After they practiced there dismissal is early
because of the awarding in the campaign. But before they were dismissed
she read a poem “a Christmas present” with tone. For the student to pay their
attention.

Mrs. Campo coaches me for my demo in math this coming January. I have
to change my motivation because they didn’t understand what the meaning of
the words is. They have practice again some students fall in line. Some didn’t
get the step that they have confuse. Their practice takes only one hour
because grade six will be the next to practice. Their field day is on Friday or
Monday when all the grade level were dancing. This will be there project in
MAPEH.

Today they discuss about the circle. He ask his students to look around
and identify what object is shape like circle. He discuss about the parts of the
circle. After he discuss he shows flashcards that is divide by 2 and he
continue his discussion. In English class I teach for cause and effect. But I
can’t execute correctly the procedure. So mam Campo assigned me to
different subject math she assigned me to different topic which is radius and
diameter.

day they were go back to their classroom and rest for a while because there

Today was the demo of grade six teacher in pilot section to give me some
technique for using in my demo tomorrow. She first discuss the vocabulary
before the actual lesson. She show some set of words and she teach the
write pronunciation of the words. After reading the story, she connect the

story to the lesson which is point of view. She connect her lesson to the
current events. In math their lesson is about the current events. Difference
around the circle the arousing boundaries of a curve in a geometric figure the
formula is 2 πR.

In integrity I practice my local demo, they said a few feedback to improve


so that at the local demo I know what I must do. Sir Mark my mentor in math
demonstrate me how he teach my lesson so that I must do what his strategies
in teaching math.

I’m fixing my lesson plan because my other friends here in school are
finish their demo. They have some changes to improve my lesson plan. My
cooperating teacher help me to finish my lesson plan to improve more. Mrs.
Campo ask me to watch my classmate Mayumi in her demo. She do well and
had positive feedback to the principal and to her cooperative teacher. But one
of my colleague did not past her demo because her class didn’t pass the
seatwork that she have done.

Mam Babela rejected my lesson plan in math. Now im still working for my
lesson plan. I changed my motivation into crossword puzzle and drill to
flashcards because mam babela wants to have a crossword puzzle in my
lesson plan, she said to me that my activities must be cope to the age of the
children that I teach.

Jan.8, 2017

Today the principal was not around. I’m practicing my demo in grade five
sincerity. My coordinating teacher help me in preparing my materials. Today
they have review in math because tomorrow they have an exam. Tomorrow I
have another practiced in integrity and another section in grade 5.in A.P mam
campo scolded Annmarie because she did not attend to the parade on last
December because of that she did not have grade. The other teacher was
angry to her class because one of the parents in other section was angry.
Only a few work in their assignment.

Today they ask me to observe in math in all grade 5 and after that in
integrity I will practice my demo. An important part in teaching is to deal and
build rapport with my students.

that I am inadequate in executions but thankfully that my students past the
evaluation. My coordinating teacher congratulate me in my demo because I
do well. After my demo the principal transfer me in grade one and my
coordinating teacher is Mrs. Jenny T. Victorio.

Today was my first day in grade one in the hands of Mrs. Jenny Victorio at
first she was shocked because this is her first time in handling a student
teacher but thankfully she accommodated me through the end. Their lesson
for today was about the story of “Gong Pagong”. She act like she was the
main character of the story even if she had no props her student understand
her story easily. When she was in group activity her students was importunate
importantly se must roam around each group to see if they do their activity. In
the third group the leader only do their activity I help mam jenny to restrain
the students during group activity. In mathematics there lesson was about
months.

Today I teach Math my topic is about the clock. In grade one each subject
was only 30minutes because they only have half day per day their dismissal
is only 11:30.

the pupils their guest shows mascot which is ironman because on Sunday

Today I passed my lesson plan to mam licudo the head of English


department in grade one at first she has a few changes to my lesson plan and
after that I immediately check it to her again and she said I must submit it now
to the principal but she was not around.

demo. She said she was not around on our demo but she has assigned
different head teachers depend on our subjects. I was assigned by Mam De
Leon. After the meeting I was asked to practice in mam Quizada’s class after

In afternoon class I was practiced in section of sampaguita while


practicing they were mentoring me because my demo will be near they asked
me to make props for the students understand the lesson about prepositions
all their advices and tips I try to implement it to my demo.

because she has more knowledge than her. While I was teaching some

professors and dean of the school in CCC to observe my demo. My topic is
preposition. During my demo I was nervous because of the pressure but
eventually it was a success because the dean of our school was glad to my
