CIRCULAR
Sub: Circular on Fall 2018-19 Semester CAT-I and CAT-II

The schedule for Continuous Assessment Tests I and II (CAT-I and CAT-II) for Fall 2018-19 is
given in the Annexure. As per norms, the CAT-I will be conducted as a closed-book/note book
type and CAT-II as an open book / notebook examination.

Attendance and Eligibility

Attendance entry will be closed on 16th August (Thursday) for CAT-I and 27th September 2018
(Thursday) for CAT-II. Students with less than 75% attendance will not be permitted to write
Continuous Assessment Tests. CAT venue details will be made available in V-TOP login for
eligible students. Nine pointers are exempted from the minimum attendance criteria.

Absence from CAT-I and CAT-II

Students who are absent for the examination due to hospitalization / death in the family are
given a chance to appear for CAT-I (to be conducted before CAT-II) / CAT-II (to be conducted
before FAT) at a different timing. A committee constituted in the School will verify for the
veracity of the claim and approve for re-examination to genuine requests. Faculty members
can schedule and conduct the examination for the students as recommended by the
committee.
