1. OPENING SPEECH

1.1 Pn. Josephine Hezrin thanked all the teachers for attending the meeting.
1.2 She also thanked Pn. Azura, Pn. Rumila and Pn. Saraswathi for joining the meeting.

2. CONFIRMATION OF THE 4TH MINUTES, 2017

2.1 The minutes were passed by Pn. S.Barathi a/p Saminathan and seconded by
Pn. Goh Ai Wah.

4. 2018 ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROGRAMMES

4.1 KUANTAN ENGLISH SUPPORT TEAM (KEST)

4.1.1 - needed to be planned in panel programmes.

- related to HIP.
- documentation must be filed properly and easily accessible.
 4.1.2 - 3 compulsory elements for KEST :
 Word Wise – record words given in a special book with the help of The Little
Teacher.
 English Day - Wednesday / Thursday
 5 Minutes English – can be a 2-way communication or writing on the
whiteboard.

4.2 DARE TO PASS (D2P)

4.2.1 - involve only Year 6 pupils with the scores ranging from 25 marks to 45 marks based
on TOV from Year 5 PAT results.
- prepare a special template for the group of D2P with the result of TOV, Pengesanan,
UPSR Trial & UPSR 2018 to see the progress of the pupils.
- 20 schools will be chosen for Dialogue Intervensi (DITO) to discuss the problems
faced and programmes to overcome the problems.

4.3 PANEL MANAGEMENT WORKSHOP (TAKWIM & PANEL FILE)

4.3.1 - bring data of D2P file and panel programmes’ file during the workshop.

4.4 PPD LANGUAGE MONTH

4.4.1- Creative English : Short stories & poetry writing competition from 1-30 April 2018
- send softcopy to PPD two of the best entries.

4.5 HIP CARNIVAL

4.5.1 - will be held on 12 May 2018 at SRK Sultan Abdullah.

- a teacher from the English Language Society in each school as the coordinator and
2 pupils from the society (President & Vice President) are assigned to help out
during the carnival.

4.5.2 - Online HIP report – ELTC has acknowledged schools with L3 and L4
immersiveness.
- SK Sg Isap Murni was 1 of the schools achieved L4.
- 58 schools in Pahang with L3 will be visited by the officer from KPM and ELTC
group.

5.1 PANEL PARTICULAR FORM

 5.2 CEFR & TIMETABLE

5.2.1 CEFR
– workbook can be purchased at the Popular Bookstore at the flat rate of RM25.00
- The Heads of Panel are advised to observe informally CEFR- based lessons
conducted by Year 1 and 2 teachers.
- make sure Super Minds books are used thoroughly throughout the year.
- give full guidance and support to those non-optionists and fresh graduate teachers.

5.2.2 TIMETABLE
- suggested allocation of English lesson should be 10 periods to carry out the lesson
cycle.
- those schools with 9 periods of English lesson will be observed by PPD officers.

5.3 DAILY LESSON PLAN (PN AZURA)

5.3.1 – teachers are free to plan and come out with any template of daily lesson plan which
suit their teaching & learning activities.
- Learning Objectives, Activities and Reflection are compulsory to be stated clearly in
the lesson plan.
5.3.2 – Year 1 & 2 teachers are required to download the DSKP from SKP Semakan as
reference.
