6. APEX--- This is a LMS we are considering using in lieu of Edgenuity. Please check out the credentials shared by Mrs.
Blair. Mrs. Blair- Pros & Cons share?
a. Lots of reading - could be good or bad.
b. Make sure to keep playing around in your subject areas
c. Report any issues to admins!
7. June/Aug Target Lists: Patterns? Encouragement---students have about 7 weeks of school left if they want to meet the June
9th graduation deadline. Discussion on combining the lists and pushing students with 1 or 2 to finish.
8. Interventions (Free Roam, Using Canvas, etc)-- Discuss in content areas other interventions we can use--- such as a project
or essay to replace a unit test.
a. Make sure that interventions are noted!
9. ELA Shifts
a. Rolling out next fall!
b. Soft roll-out through the year; rolling out mandatorily in 2019
10. Exam Update
a. Test all students who completed an EOC course in second semester (Bio/Math 1/English 2)
b. Students need to sit for the exam in order to get their diploma
c. Only for students who have never taken the EOC before
11. Pacing Guides Check
a. Make sure that pacing guides are up to date for the credit recovery AND regular classes!
12. Supplemental Assignments--- we need 3- Ideally 3 you have actually used.
13. If you encounter a student with a Wake class--- make sure the cumulative exams are removed from CR and changes are
made there as well- we cannot do a bulk change for those courses.
14. Summer School--- Details to come
