1. Introduction :
1) Overview
The Department of Food and Nutrition covers three major fields; Food Science, Nutritional
Science, and Culinary Science & Foodservice Management. The department has excellent
faculty members and cutting-edge research instruments and equipments.
The curriculum pursues acquisition of up-to-date theories and technical skills. The professors
and students are actively carrying out researches, putting emphases on experiments and
practices for the improvement of quality of our lives.
The graduates have been employed as clinical dietitians in general hospitals, as staffs and
personnel for research and product developments in food and pharmaceutical companies and
as professional research specialists in the national institutes such as Korea Food Research
Institute, Food and Drug Administration, Korea Health Industry Development Institute, and
Institute of Health and Environment. Some of our graduates are also working as professors at
domestic and overseas universities.
