Taekwondo Self Defence Routine

Scenario: A guy is playing with a ball by


himself, a group of bullies come in and the
leader of the gang kicks the ball away, the
victim goes after the ball and is attacked
by the bullies. The victim defends himself
and in the end, gets the soccer ball

play (might change as knifes are being


used):

Victim is playing with the ball, 3 bullies


enter

leader of the gang kicks ball away and


high fives his mates

victim stares at the gang and walks


opposite the gang to get the ball
Attack: knife to the back (threat)
Defence: 1#hands down to show another
alternative for fighting. 2# parry and hold
arm bar. 3# pushes away

Attack: single wrist grab


Defence: 1#grabs wrist. 2# turning kick to
the stomach. 3# arm lock (as well as
goose neck). 4# bring leg over arm
and face, take down. 5#arm break

Attack: double choke:


Defence:1# twin outer-edge knife-
hand block. 2# twin knife-hand
strike to the neck. 3#twin upset
punch to solar-plexus to push the
person off balance. 4# jump scissor
front kick to solar-plexus

Attack: knife stab downwards (slomo)


Defence: 1# inner-edge crescent kick
(slomo). 2#side kick in solar-plexus
(person drops on one knee). #3 uses
knee as support and 360 degree hook
kick in the head

Attack: body wrap up


Defence: 1#kicks 1st person in the knees
pushes back using the backside and leans
over

Attack: punch to the face (whilst in full


nelson)
Defence:1# pushes back using the
backside and leans over. 2# person
punching punches teammate by accident.
3# tackles person punching and elbows to
finish

Attack: forward stance punch


Defence: 1# outer-edge crescent
kick. 2# punch solar-plexus. 3#
ridge-hand nerve in cheek or temple.
4# scissor-sweep. 5# kick solar-
plexus. 6# stand up and maintain
fighting stance
Attack: right leg back kick
Defence: 1#step to the outer side
(attacker in closed stance) . 2# groin
kick from behind (attacker leans
over). 3# jumps over attacker. 4#
jump front kick. 5# 360 spinning
hook kick

Attack: belt
Defence: 1# block using forearms
facing attacker. 2# grabs wrist.
3#arm lock. 4# goose neck on hand
holding the belt. 5# take belt

Attack: turning kick, tornado kick


Defence (using belt): 1# parry
turning kick with belt. 2#grab
tornado kick with belt. 3# outer
crescent kick with front leg. 4#
choke attacker. 5# whip attacker
with belt

Attack:frontal stab
Defence: 1# forearms facing
attacker. 2# hop back and push
knife to the side (grab wrist). 3#
hand across face and rip jawline. 4#
take down (still holding wrist) 5#
grab knife and slam face with the
foot.

Attack: Turning kick


Defence:1# grabs onto leg and trips
leader over. 2#kick to the face

Attack: push and over-top mount


Defence: 1#

Attack:knife comes down


Defence: 1# scoops leader into an arm
lock. 2#goose neck. 3# takes knife and
slashes across the throat
